"In October 2020, I had a gas leak and I did not even know it until I was doing annual maintenance. The first company that came out made me believe that it could not be repaired and did nothing to mitigate the issue. I thought I would have to figure out where I was going find about $10 to $20 K to replace my boilers. I could not afford that. I called Sync Mechanical for a second look. They gave me an honest diagnosis of the issue and told me where the gas leak was as well. They told me that it is repairable and laid out what my options if I wanted to do repairs or replace it and the cost as well. They talked to me about their financing options at the time. I really had options. This gave me peace of mind because the gas leak was much smaller than I was made to believe before, but Sync Mechanical took the leak seriously. They identified other parts of my boilers that needed to be replaced to avoid pipes bursting such as my expansion tanks and pressure relief valves. I agreed to get the repairs made. Sync Mechanical ordered the parts, kept me updated on the arrival time, and called me when they arrived so I can schedule a time. Sync Mechanical was also honest about their schedule when also responding to emergency calls of no hot water. I appreciated that because I was never left with false expectations. They were able to fit me into schedule even when it was very busy. It felt great going with a local professional company that were honest at every step of the way and large enough to handle multiple jobs in the Hudson Valley. I did not feel overlooked. I have been stood up by contractors twice before so it was really important to me that my time was not being wasted. The repairs were done within a day and all the old materials were disposed of by Sync Mechanical. I also received my invoice in the mail which made it easy for doing my taxes. Sync Mechanical helped me make an informed decision and also learn more about how my boilers work. I never felt like they were condescending and I appreciated their respect for family as well."

"I received service in January 2021 for a problem I was having with my hot water heating system. Problems were solved after replacing some components and I was not happy with the overall outcome of the way the repairs went. I paid for the service and everything was working but I felt like I had been given a wrong diagnosis based on details I will not get into. As a result, I gave an unfavorable rating grade. Recently I was contacted by one of the owners to discuss my experience. Ray and I had a long conversation and came to a reconsideration of the bill I paid. Ray has always been extremely pleasant to converse with and at the conclusion offered to refund the complete charges for the services in question. I never felt like I was taken advantage of, but was not comfortable with the process of the diagnosis and the resulting charges. I was left wondering whether other options, or tests should have been considered but I did not want to seem like I was questioning the technician opinions or skills. I new his skills were on an expert level but that does not necessarily mean that an error could not occur. At any rate I am going to try to remove my original rating and wholeheartedly give 5 stars across the board for Polar heating and plumbing. The fact that I was contacted to discuss my concerns and given a refund when I was not even anticipating this is a testament in itself that they are truly concerned with their customers opinions and ultimately the outcome and status of their work. I will continue to consider them with any needs I have in the future and am removing my earlier rating for them. Businesses that go to this level of customer care are, in my opinion, few and far between. Thanks Ray and all your staff for making me feel much better about the experience I had. "Itâ s actually a heat pump system I bought to replace a bad one that came with the house. JSP came highly recommended and responded quickly and efficiently. Communications were a dream. The sales person was great and informative. The work crew was perfect. I could not be happier."

"Several days after calling we received a visit from Steve, who manages client accounts/coordinates jobs, and John, president. Both men were professional and pleasant, and John went into detail in response to our questions, which gave us some confidence in the firm's competence. We were offered financing. We received estimates via email in a short time. Once we decided to proceed with JSP, Steve visited again with Travis, who determined materials needs and made an estimate of how long the install would take (2 days). Again, professional and pleasant demeanor, and questions answered with detail. Steve was able to subcontract fuel tank removal for a reasonable cost when we determined this was also required by our municipality. Steve filed the permit with our town early enough to start on schedule. Work was scheduled for the end of October. The work was conducted over three days, rather than two, but much of the reason for that lay with our propane supplier rather than than JSP. Overall I was pleased with the install. The crew was small, but well equipped and experienced. There was a company runner to bring items when needed rather than an installer having to leave. They also showed up with two trucks full of a huge selection of tools and materials. Damon and (another) John vastly exceeded my expectations as far as how pleasant I imagined it might be to have strangers working in the home all day. They did not mind explaining what they were doing, they worked steadily but without hurrying, and they treated one another with respect. They did not cause any damage to our home and they cleaned up after themselves. The third day was trying, with Damon having to return late in the evening after doing another job some distance away to hook up and fire the boiler after the propane was finally activated. This did not affect his attitude and we really appreciate his work getting everything absolutely right, including returning a week or so later to make a small adjustment to the system. Payment was requested once the fuel tank was removed a few days later and we had a chance to evaluate how everything was working. We will receive boiler maintenance for two more years, and we are confident the company stand behind their work. The company has automated text and email notifications to keep clients abreast of when staff are en route to your home (including a photo for those very concerned about safety). This was helpful."

"I had troubleshooted my air-conditioning problem and thought it was most likely low refrigerant (and leak to cause the low refrigerant). I called over 8 different companies to get estimates for service call and cost for R410A refrigerant - with wide differents in cost (1st lb of R410A from $20 to $80). David's estimate was very reasonable, so I agreed to use him. David arrived on schedule and was helpful in explaining the work he was doing - which helped my understanding of our air conditioning system. Cost was reasonable. Work area was left clean. I'd give high recommendation to David."

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"It went so well. Omar is highly professional, extremely skilled and fantastically knowledgeable. He worked quickly and efficiently and explained everything that he was doing. He even took the time to answer other question we had about the house's electrical set-up. He installed the box outlet, and, cleaned out the electrical on the back of the dryer unit - it turns out when the dryer was installed, it was hard-wired to the house and a few connections had come loose. These were rubbing against a metal plate on the back of the dryer, cause some wear, some melting, and some misdirection of the electrical charge (to the heating element, as the drum turned just fine). That morning, it had cause some sparks and pops! Omar cleaned it up, made it safe, installed the box and now the dryer makes heat, has not sparked, and is safely connected to the electric supply for the house, through a box and chord. We couldn't be happier - especially since he saved us literally hundreds of dollars on a new machine! Thank you Omar!
