"I received 3 quotes on installing a new 5 ton unit to our house air network was $2,000 cheaper than the # 2 bid and over $3000 cheaper than the other bid. They came when they said and chris was very knowledgeable. We had a new unit installed as well as all new ducting and blown in insulation. I would highly recommend air network in the Weimar area"

"Safe Air did an amazing job replacing the entire HVAC system in my house. They were quick and courteous of my house while doing the job. I had lost cold air the next day but they came out right away to find that there was a manufacturer defect in the coil. After a temporary fix it was working great again. They cam back out in the next couple days to replace the temporary part with the correct piece. I would absolutely hire these guys again and would recommend them to anyone who needs heating and cooling work done on their house."

"Here's my adventure with replacing an old 2 ton Central unit that finally give it up. Was maintaining a contract with AHS, so submitted a repair ticket, week goes by with no response. Second week, their A/C contractor calls and sends out their representative. The contractor provided a quote that was $15,500.00 (yes you're reading it right) for a 2 ton central A/C unit (I might have been born at night but not last night). Next action was to ask friends and family for referrals, received several quotes from 6 to 8 A/C companies. Prices varied significantly, not real sure why, guess it might have something to do with the temperature being 95 degree outside. Still not happy with the quotes received from friends and family, so decided to give Home Advisors a try. Submitting the request was quick and easy, Home Advisor emailed me 4 of their Professional Pros within minutes, started received calls and emails within 10 minutes after submitting the request. Scheduled 4 contractors over a couple days, the first contractor to call and send me an email was Horizon Air Solutions. All the A/C contractors provided a written quote and again had numerous price variations. Making a long story short, decided on Horizon Air Solutions because of their responsiveness, follow up and price (decided to purchase 2 A/C units for up and down stairs). Horizon's installation team was prompt, courteous and professional, they laid canvas wherever they were working, even the stairs. It became apparent this team has worked together for some time, they all knew their job functions and interacted very well. During the installation process Mr. Jorge Bassante would check to see how the installation was progressing. Then at the end of the installation, I received a follow up call to see if I was pleased with the overall job... Bottom line, would I use and recommend Horizon Air Solutions again, ABSOLUTLY 5 stars +... Real nice to know there are still companies that say what the mean and mean what they say... Whoever reads this lengthy, please consider giving Home Advisors and Horizon Air Solutions in Cypress, TX a try, you won't be disappointed..."

"New installation went well. I was a little upset that only 50% was covered being that the unit was 19 years old. I'm sure that parts for something that old would be hard to find. Replacement was recommended."

"Takes a while to get ahold of them to get in system. I found them to be fair in determining whether to make a repair or replace. Very fair and reasonable, They are clear on what is and isn’t covered."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in San Felipe, TX

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
