"The worker was prompt, courteous, efficient and professional. He dislodged quite a bit of creosote, as the chimney had not been cleaned in some years. He left the wood stove very clean and tidy. I am satisfied with the job. The only puzzlement was when I phoned  to inquire about the service.  I asked if there was any discount for previous Angie's List customers -- Aegis did a Big-Deal window cleaning  at my home in the fall,  job well done -- and was quoted the $99. However, someone in the room told the woman I was speaking with to add a $45 fee  to the credit-card charge for disassembling and cleaning out the flue (or something like that) in the back of the wood stove.  I questioned this and described my stove as best I could, but she did not seem familiar with the matter and the person instructing her did not come to the phone. I got her email address, took photos of the stove and sent them. [The extra charge was not made.] When the employee arrived later in the month, he checked and said mine was not a style with a closure that required that extra service. In fact, he was able to complete the job in a half-hour.

"We chose NRG for our solar installation. Everyone we worked with (especially Gemma and Leila) was incredibly helpful and responsive along every step of the process. They responded to emails and texts within a day or two at the most, but usually within a couple of hours. They were patient and very helpful with all of the questions we had (and we had many!), and they were happy to coordinate with other contractors that were doing work on our house at the same time. We did a fairly detailed analysis of the quality, cost, efficiencies, and expected lifetime of the equipment that NRG proposed compared to other companies, and we are confident that they provided the best equipment at the best cost. The installers that came to our house were very professional, worked quickly, and the system was up and running within hours - very impressive. We passed our inspection with no issues and the whole process was completely painless! "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Service Pros was referred to me by a coworker. I called him left message at 3pm Anthony called he about 5pm. set appt for following day and asked a few other questions about what was going on. Appt was set for 12--2pm. He was on time even called 30 mins before being at door. He was respectful wore shoe covers and he was clean. He looked at unit diagnosed and had it repaired in 15 mins. He spent more times going over maintenance and answering our questions than actual repair. He was fair priced.. Overall, it was a great experience of what you expect and hope for from a service company coming inside your home. definitely will use again and refer."
