"I recently had both of my AC units serviced by Just Be Cool Supply LLC, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. Dyon and his team were prompt, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. They arrived on time, were well-prepared, and took the time to explain what they were doing without rushing through the job. Everything was handled efficiently, and the quality of work was excellent. What really stood out was their honesty and approach. There was no upselling or pressure, just straightforward recommendations and fair pricing. It’s clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about helping customers rather than just making a quick sale. Dyon is also doing something special beyond the business itself. He actively mentors young people in the trade, helping them build skills and a future. That kind of leadership says a lot about the integrity behind the company. Overall, Just Be Cool Supply LLC is reliable, affordable, and highly professional. "

"Paid $1500 for drain job on our hvac system the previous folks of our place didnt do. Our ceiling was low so they had to make a makeshift drain. Overall the job was done and it works. Its not the best job, but it does work."

"Decent, professional, polite work at exorbitant prices. They use a task-based method, not a flat hourly or daily rate. They quoted $8,000 for one handyman (changing several door handles and door hinges, installing a ceiling light and switch, shaving the top of a door, partial grouting of two showers, relocating a small kitchen wall cabinet to a different wall, minor painting, sealing an outdoor light, etc.) using mostly my materials (hinges, switches, light, door handles). Only after work started was I informed that they scheduled 4 days at my home ($2,000 per day). They deemed it unnecessary to whare this info in advance because they are task-based, even though they somehow estimated it would take 4 full days. Also, of the 4 scheduled days, 2 reschedules occurred due to their personnel issues. On the last day, I intended to go through the checklist of work, discuss possible future work, and to ask for assistance in properly measuring 2 doors for replacement. However, the handyman arrived late, and noted that he was in a rush to depart for a medical appointment."

"He showed up to assess the job. We agreed on a price. He told me he was busy for a month so I waited. The day before the job he messaged me to send him more than half up front or he wasn?t coming. He never mentioned advanced payment. I said I wasn?t comfortable but would certainly pay him as agreed for the job. He told me he wasn?t coming if I didn?t send him money first. For a handyman? Leave me waiting for a month then demand payment up front before doing one minute of work? Totally unprofessional!!! Time waster!"

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Santa Monica, CA

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
