"Winston responded quickly to my purchase of online deals and came out within 2 days to do the repairs.  Called before arriving, which was appreciated.  Replaced the two outside faucets and then fixed the kitchen water feed line valve as well - he didn't know about my request to fix this until he arrived, but he said it was no problem and fixed it for me.  He and his assistant were both very pleasant and efficient and I enjoyed having them do the work.

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"Charles Harris arrived to my home promptly at the time of our appointment. He was extemely professional and congenial. He came with the necessary tools and equipment to diagnose the problem. My water heater was leaking water and needed to be replaced. Charles quoted a very reasonable price to replace the water heater. He expertly replaced the water heater in a reasonable amount of time and disposed of the old water heater. He was courteous, pleasant and extremely reassuring. Several hours after installing the new water heater he called to assure that the water heater was working properly and that I was satisfied with the repair. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
