"Josh was very professional throughout the installation process and ensured my tenant on-site understood the basics. In addition, Josh sent Miguel the same day to ensure the humidifier was working properly."

"I had a new heat pump installed in my condo last year. This company did sloppy prep work which has resulted in thousands of dollars of extra work needing to be done. Last year I needed to replace my old HVAC system. The air conditioner was out and the furnace was from 2001. After seeing the high price on a quote from a different company, I reached out to AnyTemp. When the tech came out they gave me a couple of options, but they really pushed a heat pump. They took around 5k off the price and I was getting an Amana 2.5 ton heat pump for around 10k, a great price. After it was installed the issues began. As soon as the temperature went above 85, we started to see massive condensation on the visible parts of the HVAC system. We called AnyTemp up and they came out. They told us that our air ducts are uninsulated, as is our attic, so the hot air from the attic is creating condensation since the ducts are so cold. With this system the fan speed cannot be varied. Had I put a normal A/C in or a heat pump where the fan speed is variable, condensation would not be a problem. The solution they said was to replace all of the air ducts. I was very unhappy with this. After consulting with other HVAC companies, I realized that while ideally my ductwork would be insulated, I should have known this before installation. They never bothered to inspect the ducts, which is just sloppy practice, especially given I live in an old building. The manager I spoke with was also very condescending and spoke down to me. Any temp did come and insulate the central visible air duct, however this insulation has done nothing. Overall this company did sloppy prep work and refused to take responsibility for their mistakes, instead blaming me, the owner."

"Contacted Four Seasons to rod my sewer drain. They came out and stated that they would need to come back the next day with the rod and camera water jet to see what is clogging the line. In order to lock in the amount of almost $1500 and the time of 8am-1pm, I will need to make a down payment of half. I did half. The next day a guy from the company came with only the rod.and when I questioned him about the camera, he ignored me and continued his conversations via phone with others. Later he tells me after I asked again about the camera that I owed the other half $750. I did not pay and informed him that I didn?t get the services that I had made a deposit for in the beginning. He then started that the guys are busy and will be out on Monday 1/12/2026. He stated he went 55ft with rodding. No one came on 1/12/2026. On 1/12/2026 and 1/13/2026 I spoke to 3 managers and a supervisor?Brian, Jenny, and another person who didn?t know Jenny or Bryan and I was told that the rodding was $740 and"

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Schiller Park, IL

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
