We have used ASTAR for many years to service our central air.  On June 30th we had a bad thunderstorm that sent a power surge through our home and fried our central air, whole house fan and some other outlets.  ASTAR came and we were originally told that it would be approx. 3-4 weeks and take 2 days to install the new system because they were all booked up. We were ok with that since the weather for the next couple of weeks was going to be in the high 70's. 

The following week the weather changed and it was going to be warmer.  Knowing we had no central air ASTAR dropped off at our home, 2 brand new window air conditioners! WOW!  They would have dropped off as many as we wanted but really only needed them for 2 of the bedrooms. Don't know of any other company that would have done that!  Now the following week (7/13) we had totally forgot the we had relatives from out of state coming to spend a week with us (7/22-7/29) and the weather was going to be brutally hot!  We called ASTAR and explained our situation and are happy to report that they came on Saturday, July 18th and did the entire installation in one day!  They put an extra guy on so they could get the job done!  It has been over a month now of hot and humid weather and the system has been on since they installed it! We have noticed that this new system does a better job at keeping the house cool then the old one which was only 10yrs old.  We highly recommend this company and will continue to use them for our preventive maintenance.  We would have given them a rating of A++ if it was offered!

"The service man was great! He spent about an hour cleaning and adjusting. He explained everything he did.
But I had a slight hassle over the price I was quoted on the phone.
There was a $20.00 off the service advertised on Sure Temps website. When I asked the person scheduling the appointment about it she said that the price of the service would be $140.35 including tax minus the $20.00 for a total of $120.35. When I tried to pay the service man the $120.35 he said it was supposed to be $140.35, he called his company and the person he talked to said $140.35 unless I printed out the coupon. I don't have a printer, it didn't look like a coupon, and the service scheduling person did not say it was a coupon that I needed to print out. I called the office myself and mentioned that I got the name of their company from Angie's list and immediately they accepted the $120.35.
I think the service provided for the price was very good, but I don't like to haggle over prices once I have been given a quote.

"CHW was very responsive to our urgent need! We filed a claim the evening prior when we notices our A/C was blowing warm air into the rooms. Then by 8AM the next day, we had a call from the service technician saying he was on his way to address the issue! CHW worked with the technician to find out the compressor was the culprit and approved it's repair! Great customer service for a family in need during the hot south central Texas summer!"

"It was fine. They came out within 3 or 4 days, immediately. Very nice people. Evidently the deal was for a regular faucet and I had some special winterized faucet so they charged me more but they fixed it, it wad a leak, they put in a new faucet and all kinds of stuff. Now I can use it without any problems. The guy was very nice, they were here almost immediately and I have no leaks. He left me a card and said to call him at anytime."

Adam was very efficient and he has an excellent work ethic. Adam was willing to work with me with the installation time frame as I was not ready to install for 4 months after signing my contract. Adam --locked in-- my pricing with a 50% deposit, and performed my installation as per my schedule (there was a 10% price hike coming at the beginning of 2019). Veritas Heating and Cooling is now my go-to HVAC Company! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone."

"Our experience with Climate Chief was excellent. We received 5 bids from 5 different contractors, and two energy audits (including one from Climate Chief). By far the most thoughtful, thorough, and well explained bid came from Climate Chief. Gary went to great lengths to understand our home, our needs, desires and plans. He was extremely knowledgeable in the field of building science and could explain in easy terms how the plan they prepared would work from a scientific perspective. In addition, he laid out at least 3 different options for proceeding that would provide different cost and performance trade-offs and was always patient and available to discuss the different benefits of each approach. They were never pushy, always available via phone or email and highly professional. Once it came time to perform the work the crew of Climate Chief executed their job with the utmost professionalism. The job foreman also did a thorough inspection of the work at the end and found some items that were not tied up as well as he expected so he made sure that all remaining punch list items were performed by the crew. We noted this and appreciated it. The final work was more than we could have hoped for. It looks great, and performed better than we expected. We saw a 40% reduction in our heating costs from the insulation project so far this winter. Our comfort level has increased dramatically. We expect this project to pay for itself in savings in as little as 7 years. We would not hesitate to recommend The Climate Chief to anyone and look forward to working with them again.
