We had a complex job where we needed several different types of existing floor removed (including concrete!) and we needed new floors tied into existing floors. We also needed new stair railing installed with wood to match the floors. Jose and his crew worked tirelessly and completed the job ahead of schedule (when was the last time you could say that about a construction project, right?). The new floors tie in seamlessly with the existing wood floor we kept. The whole crew is very professional and trustworthy. We are over-the-moon with our floors -- they look even better than we could have imagined!"

"Greg, the company owner, returned my initial call right away, provided an extremely competitive quote, and managed the project from start to finish with excellent results. Greg answered all of my questions about the best type of flooring finish for our circumstances (we went with Swedish) and was even able to match the repair work wood flooring to the existing flooring in our home. He tested several of the old planks to identify the type. I've had a lot of contractors working on my home in the past 8 months since our home purchase. Most have been larger companies where the sales team and work crews never communicate and execute the work as promised, and have no connection to the customer. Maranatha Hardwoods was refreshingly the total opposite experience. They are a small business that knows their craft and takes pride in their work. The only complaint was the smell but that is part of the process. Should have done more research on Swedish Finish. Quality of the work was outstanding. Floor looks great.

"The installation was done very well.  The crew took their time and made sure everything was done right.  It looks excellent and meets the flooring int he adjoining rooms perfectly.  The price was very good.
The initial communication was a little unusual.  We communicated solely through Angie's List email even though I provided my personal phone number and email.  It was just new for me to communicate that way.  It worked out fine and everything was done to our satisfaction.

"Will has relocated to the Portland area and was kind enough  to honor his commitment to us by staying  in the Tacoma area just to do our project even though his family had already moved.  Our repaired stairs and floors are gorgeous and I am so thankful I chose him to do this project.  The previous contractor had left us in a terrible mess and Will fixed it all even documenting for us (including pictures) all that he had to correct and why.  We wish him the best of luck with his new life in Oregon.
