"We went to the store and picked out our floor.  Even with the installation it was cheaper than discount and big box flooring centers.  Our general contractor told us to buy the flooring directly from them and he would not add a mark-up.  They were very knowledgeable about the flooring options.  Once I had picked out what I wanted, they gave me a price, gave me a date when they would start, and an estimate of how long it would take.  To save money, we ripped out our own carpets and laminates, and took off our own woodwork.  Because of animal accidents, we also also painted our floors with an oil-based primer.  We painted the risers on the stairs.  We did pay them extra for moving our barber chair, refrigerator, and piano.
     They showed up on the day and at the time they said they would be there.  It took an extra day to do the work, because in the middle of it, the power for the whole neighborhood went off.  It cost exactly what they said it would cost.
     In the meantime,  we discovered that wooden steps were not the best for outside a bedroom, because all night long the cats and dogs ran up and down the stairs making loud bangs on every tread.  I decided to put a carpet runner down the middle.  I went to a big box store for an estimate, and it became evident that the salesperson had no idea what a custom sized runner would entail.  The hardwood installer suggested that I go back to Affordable Custom Floors.  Within 10 minutes we had picked out our carpet, and the saleswoman explained the whole process.  She told me how long it would take, since the carpet would have to be bound.  I mentioned that it would have to do, although I was hoping it would be installed before my daughter's wedding.  Two nights before the wedding, the installer showed up on his own time, after working a full-day on other jobs, to install the runner in time for our wedding guests to see it.

"They did a fantastic job. They were conscious of the marble pieces didn't like as well and used those in less conspicuous places. We had a decorative herringbone accent that looks amazing. "We had an great experience working with IC Floors. From the beginning they were helpful and responsive, and that continued through the whole project. They were listened to us through the whole process, from getting a quote and selecting tile through the finishing touches. They sell flooring materials as well as install, so we purchased the tile through them. They had a nice selection and worked to help us find what we wanted, making suggestions for what might go well in our house. The pricing was very competitive, but we decided to go with them both based on price AND because they seemed responsive and easy to work with. They sub-contracted the installation (not sure if that's always the case). The workmanship was excellent, and they kept our house clean and mostly functional throughout the project (a big deal since it was a lot of rooms). Problems happen during renovation projects, but they helped solve all of the issues that came up. The wrong color grout was installed in a couple of rooms before the mistake was caught. I believe it was actually their supplier's mistake, but they immediately called us back with a solution and fixed it with no argument. We also were particular about the transitions to rooms with wood floors, and they fixed that in a way we were very happy with as well. Overall we had a very positive experience, and would highly recommend this company."

"Tom was great to work with.  We had ordered flooring and had it delivered ourselves, but when they started to lay it, it was not going down correctly.  They stopped and showed us what was going on.  We then returned that flooring, ordered other flooring and they called and told us it had the same issue.  Third time was the charm for the flooring, and Capital flooring, was great with rescheduling for when the flooring came in.  We had multiple upgrades going on over a few week period and they were wonderful for working into the master schedule.  Most of the flooring is down and they are finishing up today, but just wanted to share about their great service and great installation job.  Basically they were willing to wait and do the job right!  I would use them again!

"Justin was very professional.  When he was unable to complete the work on the original scheduled date, he called in advance and explained the situation as to why he needed to come out the following week.  The job took three days to complete.   Justin and another worker had to remove the toilet in the half bath. There was a $50 charge for that job.  When it came time to reinstall the toilet, Justin discovered it needed new bolts and he went out right away to purchase them.  He came back shortly and completed the job.  He took the time to explain how to care for the floor afterwards.   The finished floor looks very nice and we are happy with the final product.  I only wish the cleanup from the dust would have been a little more thorough.  Other than that, I would definitely hire Justin again if the need arises.
