"Paul Jose inspected the attic for possible mold and ventilation. He found none, and air humidity was in normal limits that would not support mold. He checked all my vents that go through the attic for leaks or other problems. He made a recommendation to improve air quality in attic. When he was running a little bit late, he called me to tell me he would be there soon. Very personable."

"Virgil went through the whole house with us, advising us of spots which could lead to problems eventually and how to prevent those from happening. He used to be in construction and a home inspector so he knows exactly what to look for. He was extremely courteous throughout and very thorough. He also helped us with next steps and was very focused on saving us money without compromising on total remediation. We would totally recommend owners in similar situations (who suspect there might be a mold issue in their house) give Virgil a call."

Small jobs welcome

"I thought he did a good job explaining what he did do but very disappointed they didn't explain that you had to pay a lot extra money to actually find out what kind of mold if any you had. The $199.00 fee they only looked for mold & tested the air quality. If they found any mold it cost a lot more to find out what type. He did say we had mold in our crawl space but not what kind, that cost more money. Overall good for what he did do."

"Colby was great. He came right away, gave estimate and started the work. The place needed extra days of drying and Colby left dehumidifier without any extra charge. I was very pleased with his work. He was very professional. I have worked with Colby before and trust him. I would hire him again without any hesitation"

FAQs for indoor air quality testing projects in Seattle, WA

You should test your home's air quality if you or your family experience health problems like allergies or respiratory issues, as these could be linked to indoor contaminants. Also, consider testing if you're concerned about mold, radon, carbon monoxide, or if you've recently had home construction, demolition, excavation, or remodeling that could have released chemicals into your indoor air.

An indoor air quality test typically takes one to three hours to complete. After the inspection, you'll receive a detailed written report within two to 10 days. The evaluation includes comprehensive air sampling from all designated areas in your home. Your specialist will review the findings with you and provide clear guidance on steps to take if any issues are found, helping ensure your indoor environment meets health and safety standards.

A certified indoor air quality consultant or inspector is the right professional to perform your indoor air test. While some home inspectors have certifications, they often subcontract this specialized work to trained professionals with advanced tools. This expert will thoroughly evaluate air samples from every area in your home and clearly explain the findings to you. Be sure to confirm your tester's credentials before scheduling your service.
