A bit later they called back and said that due to some emergencies (our toilet really wasn't an emergency) they had to reschedule us to 4pm. "He did a thorough job on the furnace inspection and removed a filter that wasn't needed. The heat pump was a different story and the main reason we called them. There was a noise that the heat pump shouldn't be making and he said that the pressure was low and there was a leak somewhere. He couldn't guaranty that fixing the leak would solve the problem and suggested that we replace the heat pump. We got two more opinions and both said that the noise was normal for low pressure in the line and fixing the leak should solve the problem. I just don't think he was as up front as he should be by pressing to replace rather than fix.
