"Sean was exceptional! He is an expert in his field, he was courteous, customer focused and offered tips for caring for my new sink and disposal. The value from this company is terrific, much less than other companies providing similar services. I would recommend Balanced Mechanical & Plumbing Services and Sean to anyone looking for plumbing services."

"I called them out for a basic service call $49 just to prepare for winter. I?m a 72 year-old woman that lives in an 800 square-foot home. Two guys came to my house and basically told me my air-conditioning was a piece of junk that the whole thing needed to be repaired or I would be sorry when winner arrived. Well, I?ll tell you when I bought the house. I knew that the air conditioning and furnace would need to be repaired or replaced, but I?m not paying almost $20,000 for air conditioner and 800 square-foot home. I talked to another company after them and they quoted me a quote of five to $7000 for the same size unit. You tell me if they?re ripping people off."

"Got a hold of Kiley and Sons to find and repair or a problem with a hot water heater. They showed up and instead of diagnosing the problem they charged me $740.00 to install a new water heater. After installation the new water would not work. Tech decided to finally call and seek assistance. Got directed to check circuit breaker and wiring. You guessed it, broken wire all along. Stripped it back and reinserted and problem solved. Diagnosis should have been done first since he actually tested wires on old heater and got no voltage but went ahead and installed new heater anyway. Poor company to deal with. Spread the word to avoid Kiley and Sons at all cost.” The above review gives this company an "A" for both responsiveness and punctuality They showed up quick with a new heater that was not needed just to make a sale."

"It did not go well. The tech arrived and proceeded to use the camera to diagnose the problem. He never called and have me a price estimate to do that. He told my tenant that I had broken pipes under the house. When I called Meeks and asked for the footage so that I could possibly do a trenchless repair and not year up my floor they said that he did not make a record because no one requested it. I called for a stopped up toilet. A salesman named Scott did not return my calls for two days to tell me that there was no footage from the camera. They never sent me an itemized bill. I found out how much they charged when it showed up on my credit card . Basically they did nothing of value for 675 dollars. Bonnie Ollinger"

"Hefner Plumbing Company provided us with wonderful, professional service. Our 12 year old hot water tank died, phoned Hefner's and they had two technicians, Dallas and Jordan, at our home in under 3 hours. Both were dressed in clean uniforms. They were very knowledgeable, providing thorough explanations at the end of the installation. Having lived in many cities throughout the US, and a small business owner ourselves, they are one of the most professional companies we have had the pleasure to work with. Joy in the office, was also so very helpful!!"

"My kitchen sink drain was plugged up. Meeks came out and snaked it 3 times to no avail. The plumber was here for 4 hours. They were charging $295 to snake it and $168 for an additional hour. My sink was still clogged, I refused to pay the additional work hour. Then they said they could have a guy come out and use a Jetter to force the grease out but that cost would be $400. I turned that down and proceeded looking for another company that could help me. Texted Brandon Driggers at his request but he never got back to me. I then contacted Professional Drain Services and spoke to Joshua. He contacted Meeks Plumbing to find out about my sink. He called me back and told me he would clean it for $700. I then had a friend refer me to Dove Plumbing who came out that night and used a pressure washer and cleaned me out in an hour and a half for $236. I wish I would have heard about them first!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Silver Springs, FL

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
