"Raptor Rooter were in a crunch situation as they needed to respond to an emergency situation at another site. They suggested possibly rescheduling for the next day at the time I was calling to inform them we had developed a problem which required us to shut down the main water to the house. Raptor's service dispatcher immediately responded let me work with our crews i Will call you back. I received a call back about 5 minutes later and was informed she had come up with a crew that were on their way to pickup the water heater and would install today the original instillation date and they would handle the additional leak problem. Raptor Rooter came thru big time the crew arrived unloaded the new heater one man started removing the old heater while the other replaced the problem water valve which was my emergency. Both men then concentrated in completing the water heater replacement very efficiently. In my opinion these guys are top rate. The four stars on money even though the were the low bidders for the replacement, I would like it to be cheaper. Sorry that's just me."

"Everything went fine. The service man was prompt, professional, and friendly. He told us up front even though we knew there was a leak, that diagnosis of the problem would cost $195.00. Of course we didn't know it was the cartridge that had gone bad so he did diagnose that. He went out for a while to local hardware plumbing distributors but did not find the part. Upon return, he said we could save a little money and order the part ourselves. I got a phone number for Moen parts and never could get beyond "1" for English, "2" for etc., etc. and finally gave up. Scott's Plumbing agreed to order the part and said it would take a couple of days. That was Aug. 14. We were told it would probably arrive on the 16th and they can replace the part on the 17th. We then got a call that they might not make it out on Friday, and we might have to wait until the following Monday. We told them that the defective Moen part was leaking more water now, and they said they would make it out on Friday. The serviceman arrived on Friday and installed the part. It didn't take that much time to install the part. I'm back using my kitchen sink, and everything works perfectly. My only hangup was the final price. I about choked when I was given the final invoice of $593.00. By the way, I found the Moen cartridge on line at Amazon, Ebay, Menard, and Lowes....not that we would have been able to install it ourselves, but it was priced less than $20."
