"McCrea replaced a 20 year old HVAC system with a new Trane 4-ton XL16i condenser, XV80 furnace and new coils. The salesman, Mark, was very responsive to my request for quote changes or additional items, including financing options. He was very knowledgeable and patient through the entire process as I worked with other companies for competing quotes. As a result of Mark’s recommendations and excellent pricing, I added on a new Aprilaire 1210 filter box (including replacing a portion of the return duct work/box) and an Aprilaire 600M whole house humidifier. I was able to schedule install four days after signing the contract. The installers, Charles and Christian, arrived on time and removed the old and installed the new in about 7 hours. They provided an overview of system operation and cleaned up so well, you couldn’t tell that a significant installation had occurred. I would recommend McCrea, especially Mark, Charles, and Christian to anyone...they were professional and did an excellent job. My home is so much more comfortable with a system that will be better on the summer and winter utility bills."

There was some miss-communication within the company that caused some delays, but our AC replacement installation was really difficult in having to go thru the roof inti a tight space. Once the techs realized what the nature of the job was, they did an epic job. I had 4 or 5 business previously that didn't even offer a bid for this job. ARS beat the only other two quotes offered. "A/C stopped working on a Sunday. Called Total Comfort, answering service answered call, and asked if my situation was an emergency. I stated it was not, so they took a message. Promptly on Monday morning, my call for service was returned. My Trane XL14i air conditioner was not providing cold air. The fan on the compressor would turn, just no cold air. A technician arrived at about 11:30 and discovered the capacitor was bad. I was pleased that it wasn’t more serious and was back up and running in about an hour. He also checked the system pressure and ensured it was within specs. I could have been lied to and told the whole compressor needs to be replaced for thousands of dollars, so credit for integrity. The capacitor sells on-line for about $25 and I was charged $300 for the service. I, however, do not have the training required to diagnose the problem, nor the overhead costs associated with running a business, so the cost is within reason. Overall, I’m very pleased with this experience and am looking to have my furnace replaced with some system upgrades, and will likely have Total Comfort provide that service as well."
