They took all my downspouts below ground, combined them together including my sump pump and installed pop up emitters. Overall, it is a much better solution than the previous plastic flex pipes that discharged directly on my lawn. Also regraded a few poor drainage areas of the yard. I thought the pricing was reasonable and would hire them again."

"Kurt (Distinct Landscapes) performed an exception makeover to our property. We have owned our home for 20 years, with an eye on a landscape design to the house front - that pops. What we inherited were azaleas and christmas trees that continued to grow more expansive over the years. "Mulch and trimming were done right away and looked very nice, although some weeds have sprouted up from the mulched area.



Installation of pavers took 3 months to even begin, but it was done in one day. The constant rain played a part for the delay, but I did feel that the project was on the back burner. We wanted the pavers to match the patio pavers in color. We went with his recommendations. The pavers do not match - appear the same color of cement pavement. Upon inquiry, was told that they had heard that a lot and that it will take a few months and color may change. The installation looks great but we are very disappointed with the color and hope it does change to match the patio. I will respond back in a few months and let you know if pavers did change color.

"Excellent. I really enjoyed meeting Eric. He and his staff were awesome from the very beginning. Everything was explained step by step and the workers were so polite and friendly, always smiling. Pouring concrete for a pathway or driveway can wreak havoc in your yard, but these guys were so meticulous and careful to only drive on my lawn and put dirt on my lawn. (I have a semi-detached home). They cleaned up everything nicely and even reseeded my grass where the track marks from the truck were. I have already contracted with GPRO for some additional landscaping. I would recommend them for all your landscaping needs. Edie"

"I needed to have 6 Eastern White Pines and 1 Spruce tree remove along my property line between me and my neighbor's driveways.The white pines were about 50 years old and  30 to 50 feet tall.  Also along the pine trees was a stone wall .  Freestate Tree Removal's quote was the best price of four estimates I received.  They arrived at the time they said they would and completed the job that day.  They cut the trees down, chipped all resulting brush and debris.  They even removed an existing pile of debris that I had accumulated from fallen limbs due to an ice storm.  They loaded and hauled away all the logs which could not be chipped.  All 7 stumps were removed.  The area was raked and blown clean of debris.  Watching the professional way in which they protected our driveways and the expert protection of the wall was a sight to behold.  I would highly recommend Freestate Tree Service to anyone."

"Oscar and Solid Brick Contracting, LLC have done several projects at my current home and my previous residence. The first project he completed for me was a new bluestone walkway and irrigation system 7 years ago at my old house. This past summer, Oscar has repointed the bluestone/flagstones around the pool and front entrance (which includes walkway, stairs and landing), reset pavers along the walkway to the pool, and built 3 large retaining walls. I have additional projects that he is going to undertake this fall. Oscar is very easy to work with. After understanding our goals and specifications for each project, he provides guidance in the type of construction and materials that would work the best. He is also always available by phone/text. He either answers right away or returns the call promptly. The two large retaining walls required custom stones and configurations which he designed and implemented perfectly. He also was forthcoming if additional planning from an engineer would be necessary or permits be required. When we planned for the custom wall, he also was clear that the stones might be difficult to find and not an exact match. He searched multiple quarries and found what we needed. I was happy he did not give up after going to the first quarry. Regarding the job itself. Pros 1. Oscar understands hardscaping and what works best. 2. The crew is polite and respectful. 3. Once the job is done the site is very clean. All the dirt is swept up and garbage removed. 4. During the job the equipment was typically organized and out of the way. 5. Once the work starts, the job progresses quickly. 6. The project looks great! Cons 1. Oscar is busy. I suppose this is not a true con but if you are looking forward to a nice patio with a fire pit and retaining wall you might have to wait a short period of time. It is worth it!"
