"From the moment I called them to come out and give me a quote, GP Hardscape stood head and shoulders above the rest. They took care to show us all of our options, made great suggestions and we are very pleased with our new patio! Their crew showed up on time everyday, ready to work and were very careful with our driveway and yard during the build. I called multiple companies and I am so glad we decided to go with GP Hardscape! The customer service and level of professionalism is outstanding. I am happy to recommend them to any friends and family that ask about our new patio!"

"We were so impressed by innovative woodworks. The porch turned out better than we imagined. The guys built it like it should be built. All 6x6 posts with bracing. Posts on concrete piers with hardware, not just stuck in the concrete. Workmanship was excellent and we paid less than the local "champagne and caviar" construction company wanted to build a much smaller portico over the door. Neighbors are driving by and stopping g to look. Highly recommend these guys!"

"The work was great. Frank came out, talked to us about several options, and gave us a ballpark estimate. We chose his above others even though it was higher because we plan to be in this house for a long time and wanted a quality product. He had to wrangle with the City about the encroachment to the property line but handled it like a pro and got the permits. The work was a bit slow but steady and we have a beautiful deck(s) that are perfect for our needs. The solid feel of the deck itself is impressive and the extra details added at no cost were great!"

"<p> </p> <p>I would highly recommend Outside Landscape Group and I plan to use them again!</p> <p> </p> <p>My home is situated on the water, but the property did not take advantage of the view or provide any access to creek.  Being new to the Atlanta area, I did my research and decided to interview Outside Landscape Group to make improvements to my outdoor space.  Rick Kaldrovics came to my home and walked the property.  He listened to what I wanted and immediately began sketching out some ideas.  He evaluated the terrain and used his expertise and creativity to propose a beautiful design.  From our initial meeting to the project?s end, Rick and his group were complete professionals.  The work crew was amazing.  The property is steep and that provided many challenges.  The workers were diligent and skilled.  In spite of having to lug heavy boulders and materials down a slippery slope, they were always pleasant, friendly and polite.  Ed was an excellent carpenter.  He went over and above delivering and discussing deck stain samples on a Saturday.  Kerri responded promptly to any questions and concerns.  She quickly arranged to remedy an unexpected erosion problem that washed away the newly completed pathway at no extra cost.</p> <p> </p> <p>Outside Landscape Group literally transformed my yard.  They built a gorgeous fire pit and carved out a lush pathway to the creek.  The plantings are healthy and thriving.  My neighbors said they loved seeing the daily progress and that it was like watching a live episode of HGTV's ?Yard Crashers.?  </p> <p> </p> <p>This is a creative, professional, hard-working group of people.  I will also add kind and thoughtful to the list of kudos.  A few weeks after the job was completed, I received a beautiful gift basket. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the project.   I will definitely be hiring them for Phase 2 of my project.</p> <p> <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"I read all the positive reviews that were posted for LJIA Masonry and every single positive review was on the mark!  Israel and his crew were on time, did exactly as agreed on, kept me current, cleaned up daily leaving the work areas neat and they finished on time.  Israel was patient with us and had much better ideas than my wife and I had.  I cannot give Israel and LJIA Masonry enough credit.   They deserve an A+"

"Our home is nearly a year old, but the 'contractor' landscaping has been planted without regard to growth pattern - front items are taller than the bushes behind, corner bushes will grow tall enough to take out our gutters.  The sides and back of the house have had no plantings at all.  Being an experienced professional designer, Andy Stewart has developed a plan for our entire yard that flows beautifully all around. <br /> Our side property line is about 15 feet from the house, but we have been able to plant a columnar shaped tree that reaches our second floor window - it's a great tree that keeps a narrow design....we love it!   About 8-10 of our original bushes have been  transplanted in other areas.  We have a 2nd story deck in back and, because the sunlight is minimal underneath half this area, Andy has created a whole new look with shade bushes, hydrangeas (that like less sun), and 2-tones of ground cover.  Also, the problem drainage has been completely corrected with gutter water moving underground and a (back-up) new above-ground drain being installed (surrounded by smooth stones and a dome cover to prevent debris issues) - it looks very garden-like.  The added step-stones from our stairs to our patio make the entire area complete.  New sod has been placed around the stones (rather than pine straw) for neater maintenance.  <br /> Several areas of our yard have had gutter drainage re-routed underground to a main (non-sewer) drainage area.  We absolutely love this, because the gutters are no longer dumping water near the house foundation nor washing down our landscaping.    The whole design of our yard is beautiful - the neighbors have given many compliments.  Plant choices are a little less traditional in some areas and not symmetrical.  <br /> Our crew, headed by Ishmael, has been extremely hard-working.  They are detail-oriented and never leave a mess.  This has been a very positive experience from start to finish.  We have had other estimates, but no other company has identified or provided the irrigation solutions we have received with Outdoor Expressions.  From the beginning, we have had total confidence in Andy.  His actions have consistently proved him to be extremely capable and high in integrity.   This is a wonderful company - you should not hesitate to use them.     <br />"

"<p>Perfect project! Let me start by saying we loved Bob and his son Mason, and are planning on using them again for an outdoor kitchen project soon! Bob is super-responsive, if you call him-he'll call you back that day.  If there is a weather situation, Bob won't hesitate to let you know how that might affect your project time-wise.  </p> <p>The work they perform is beautifully crafted stonework. We are pretty picky and Bob is too. He takes real pride in his craft and it shows. Our neighbors commented, first and foremost, how lovely the project had turned out, but went on to say how courteous and professional they were. Every day they made sure to clean the sidewalk in front of our home so thoroughly you would never have known there was work being done.  </p> <p>In the end, every stone is even, the mortar between the stones is perfectly consistent, and we are thrilled with the results.</p> <p>I would not hesitate to recommend Bob's work and whole-heartedly endorse him.  We look forward to using him again and Bob, if you read this, THANK YOU! </p> <br />"

"During the projects, it was always easy to reach the project manager, they did quality work and they found an existing buried pipe which they offered to test and use. This saved me $500. For those reasons, when I requested bids (6 in total) for the outdoor living space, I called Wilson Bros again. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but in the middle. A major reason why I chose them is because they managed the entire project so I didn't have to deal with multiple sub contractors. The project manager always answered my calls or responded to texts quickly. Also, he came to check the progress almost everyday. There were a number of change requests that I made, and the price changes for these were always reasonable. The one time I did have a concern about the price of a change request, he didn't press the issue...he said my happiness was his primary concern and met me in the middle. When working with any contractor, I suggest you educate yourself and pay attention. There were a few quality concerns, but he quickly addressed all of then without any hassles or excuses. The project did run behind schedule, but I prioritize quality over speed, so in their defense, I never pressed the issue. That said, I'm certain if I had voiced concern about the delays, he would have made adjustments. I paid half up front, and he didn't ask for another dime until every item on my checklist was complete. Overall, I would definitely use them again. I found that most of these companies sub contract most of the work, so you're really picking a project manger who is responsive, easy to work with, and reasonably priced."

"I contracted with CEL to remove my existing concrete and add pavers, pergola and a fire pit.  Tim was extremely responsive to me.  The work was done in record time.  I did not have any problems that were not resolved immediately.  Tim gave me advice on the design, the paver colors and enhancements. <br />"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Stone Mountain, GA

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
