"I first connected with CARES about three years ago and was very impressed with the initial work they performed. At that time, I gave them a 5-star review and referred them to others because their installation quality was excellent. Unfortunately, communication and follow-through have become ongoing issues. After the initial service, I prepaid for their annual maintenance plan. However, despite repeated attempts, I was unable to reach anyone to schedule the required check-ups. I eventually encountered Jake at my neighbor?s home and explained that I had been trying to contact the company for months. While we were standing next to his truck, he acknowledged the issue, admitted he had no explanation for the lack of response, and scheduled an appointment on the spot. I appreciated that ? but the problems continued. In the days leading up to the appointment, I attempted to contact them again to confirm ? both a day or two beforehand and again the morning of ? and once again, I was unable"

"I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Dynamic Comfort LLC, A/C & Heating, regarding their unprofessional conduct, failure to honor warranty agreements, and delay in issuing a promised refund. On April 28, 2023, I purchased a 10-year warranty for $2,660. However, the company initially claimed I only had a 1-year warranty that had expired. After providing them with a picture of my contract, they acknowledged their error and agreed to add an additional year of service due to their failure to provide service during the first year. Dynamic Comfort finally came to service my units on June 22, 2024, after missing the scheduled appointment on June 7, 2024. At that time, they confirmed that both units were running efficiently. On September 16, 2024, I contacted the company because one of my units was not working. Their technician, Zack, evaluated the unit and quoted $3,500 for a new compressor with a 5-year warranty or $16,000 for a new unit (discounted from $20,000). He also mentioned that prices would increase by 40% next year. After negotiating, Zack initially agreed to apply the warranty cost towards the new unit. However, upon returning later that evening, he stated the warranty discount could not be honored, and the price would remain $16,000. Dissatisfied, I sought a second opinion from Ultra Air, who evaluated my unit and found it in excellent condition, requiring only a breaker replacement. I replaced the breaker for a few hundred dollars, and the unit has been running perfectly since then. I contacted Paul at Dynamic Comfort, explaining my loss of trust in their company and requesting a full refund of my warranty. Megan in the office assured me on September 20th that a refund check would be issued. On October 16, 2024, I received a check for only $620, accompanied by an invoice deducting $1,641 for service performed on April 23, 2023, which is inconsistent with the invoice I received. After calling Megan to address the discrepancy, she agreed and promised a corrected refund. As of November 6, 2024, no additional check has been received. On November 19th and 21st, I texted Paul for updates, but I have received no response. Dynamic Comfort LLCâ s actions demonstrate a lack of accountability, misrepresentation of services, and poor customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is not to be trusted!"

"Renewal was the first company to respond to our request for quotes on Angi. They sent out their A/C specialist Alex the same day. Alex gave me a tutorial on air conditioning and performed the service efficiently. Our dual A/C system had not been serviced in at least 7 years and required extensive cleaning of the compressor and evaporator coils as well as electrical repairs. Thanks Alex and Renewal!"

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Tucson, AZ

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
