"While looking for a plumber to inspect and replace a leaking water heater, I found Rapid Repairs.  I called the number, and was directed to send a text message if I needed a emergent response.  After only a few minutes, I got a response in a text message addressing my issue.  They were professional and answered my questions as best he could without being at my house.  I even got estimates based on my answers.  The only reason I did not utilize their service was that I needed hot water immediately, and they were already on multiple service calls, meaning the earliest they could come out would be Monday.  
I would definitely use them in the future, I was very happy with the response and appreciated that he was polite and understood that I couldn't wait for them to become available.

"We hired Overall Plumbing Heat & Cooling to replace a kitchen faucet and are very happy with the experience. When replacing the faucet they made us aware of a rusted part of the piping connecting to the dishwasher and recommended we replace it to avoid a flood. Rob and a helper arrived on time. Rob reviewed the job and honored the estimate he had given and also applied an Angie's List coupon. I had supplied the faucet and Rob supplied the supply lines and valves. Entire job was done in 45 minutes and it was done very professionally. I was extremely pleased with Rob's work as well as his friendly demeanor. At my request Rob provided a referral for another job I needed done in the house.

"Things went great! Moe assessed the problem with each of the toilets in my home. He looked at the first toilet and determined the entire mechanism inside the tank (float and flapper) needed to be replaced. The second toilet was an easy fix so he did that free of charge. The third toilet he determined only needed a handle, which I told him I could replace myself once I went to purchase the correct handle. So, he completed the repair on the first toilet and as a new customer he honored the 15% of coupon for Angie's List members. I was a little disappointed that a new toilet mechanism with labor costs $175. However, based on my research this price is about $20 cheaper than the average cost to repair a toilet. And the 15% discount ($26.25) also helped to ease my sticker shock. I would recommend Cross County as well as use them again."

I decided to go with Orbit because Madison answered all my questions and concerns. I Their solution addressed all my needs. We scheduled and the systems were installed by Dylan, who was professional and efficient. He answered my questions and told me what I needed to know to feel comfortable with my new system. He also cleaned up beautifully, leaving my garage in perfect order. In the time since installation there is a noticeable difference in the water. I also feel like my skin is benefitting from the softer water. and the acidic levels in my well water are controlled."

"Simply put: Mark is a true professional and a good man. Something in short supply in the service industries today. Let's start at the beginning: We bought a house very recently. We knew there may be an issue behind the shower wall, but had no idea how bad. Turns out one of the pipes leading to some side-wall jets was leaking. Water was coming in at the base of the wall in the shower (through the grout). I hired a plumber. He wanted $800 to cap the pipe and would not fix the wall after busting through. I settled for a disabled handle so those jets could not be turned on. He did a couple other jobs on our list, but failed to do one and left another incomplete. For a month I asked him to return. Around that time, the disabled valve failed. Water went back into the leaky pipes and started coming through the walls again; this time in a different area, because I had sealed up the leaky area when I thought there would be no more water going there. Stupid, I know... but the plumber came back and saw water in a new area and never surmised that it may be the old problem, now getting worse. In the process of trying to solve a "new" leak, he broke another handle's volume control valve (which I had to run to a plumbing parts supply store to buy and replace to stop a new leak created by the broken valve) and did the worst, sloppiest putty sealing job I have ever seen on the temperature handle, believing that a loose handle was allowing water behind the wall and that must be the new leak. He was here for over 4 hours, didn't properly identify the leak, broke a valve and refused to replace it saying finding the right part was a pain, and completely slathered up a wall with caulk leaving an unsightly mess. Time to find another plumber. Enter Mark. I found him online that night and sent a note. Within minutes I got a text from him, very cordially saying 'thanks for the email, let's chat tomorrow. The next morning, we discussed - in detail - the ongoing situation. I texted him photos of the shower to explain the multiple jets and handles and where the leak was coming from. Right off the bat he complimented me on the thorough explanation and photos. Far from the other plumber that treated me like a nuisance, refusing to return to complete the original job. Our estimate visit was set for the following (next day) morning, but he came over after hours later that evening. He spent an hour with me -at the end of a long day- just trying to identify the leak source. The next day, I contacted the previous homeowner and he drew a diagram and explained where the piping lies behind the walls for these jets. I sent the image to Mark and he knew exactly what to do. We discussed together and both agreed on the solution. He came over the next day to work and was done in a few hours. He also brought his tile guy who put my walls back together, and even came back on a Saturday to finish the grouting! Well, turns out that the pipes were only half the problem. There was also bad grouting everywhere that was absorbing water. In the end, I hired a contractor to strip the walls back to studs and rebuild the entire shower. When the walls were gone, Mark came over as a courtesy to check all the now-visible pipes. He had remained in contact with me throughout the situation and came back one more time to make sure everything was solid before rebuilding. That is the mark of a true pro. Now, a couple months later, we found a new issue in our Kohler Hatbox toilet. He came over, diagnosed the problem, helped me order the right part on the phone, and is coming back to replace the part once it arrives. All components of this toilet are UNDER the bowl! It is not an easy task to get in there and it is dirty – but he did it with a smile. I leave this longer-than-average review to tell you that I have had a horrible experience with a problem left to me by the previous owners that was mishandled, misdiagnosed, and made worse by the first plumber… and then I found Mark. Too many people in the service industry just show up to do a job and don't care. They don't care if you call them again. If you don't, someone else will. Mark has chosen to go a different route, striving to build a happy client base for life. He will take his time, talk to you, explain the problem, and then fix it. Properly. And if it isn’t fixed, he’ll stick with you until it is. He also works with phenomenal people that are there to make things look great again, after the dirty job is done. Mark is a master plumber and has worked - literally - all over the globe for 20 years. New York is so lucky to have him now. If you want a true professional that knows his stuff, will respect you - AND give you a fair price, this is your plumber. If you want a jerk to come over, do a half-*** job, then ignore you for a month and return only to make a problem worse, I know another guy."

"Frank Tedeschi and his men did an amazing job. The buffet had sustained substantial damage, both to the interior (drawer and frame crushed by an unsecured heavy shelf board) and the exterior (multiple scratches and dents, and two drawer faces that required replacing). Frank went to a great deal of trouble to match the wood that needed replacing, and the repaired and refinished piece looks as if it had never been damaged in the first place. We are more than delighted with the result! Frank and his crew had previously done a great job stripping and refinishing a large mid-century book/display shelf for us."

"Very positive experience with Tim and his crew. We have horrible well water, and there were time constraints due to real estate purchase. Everything was done within the specified time-frame, neat and professionally. Responsive to inquiries, and helpful in educating during the process. "We purchased a mother/daughter house in spring 2015. The main house needed remodeling and we wanted to completely renovate the smaller unit including the kitchen and bathroom (included reconfiguring the bathroom and moving a wall). The main unit work included a remodeling to make the main bathroom senior friendly and we added central A/C to both units. We also needed quite a bit of landscaping done which included removing concrete around the pool and repaving, adding a new fence & sod, building a fire pit and plantings. Andrew and his design team worked very closely with us during the planning stage to make sure that all our needs (and wants) were being met. They did professional renderings of the space with the proposed changes and made sure that we were happy with the final product before starting on any of the major projects. Andrew did a great job from start to finish on this project and I would say he has the ability to not only focus on the larger aspects of the job but also notice the smaller details. He even went above and beyond and spoke to the neighbors during the demolition stage so that they would know what to expect which I thought was a great and I'm sure they appreciated. All of the work that Andrew's team did was of the highest quality and we trusted him to get everything done to code and to our standards. Andrew has a good network of subcontractors and other specialists in the area and coordinated every aspect of the project so we didn't have to worry about finding different people for different jobs. This was extremely important since we weren't on site while work was being completed and didn't have the time to deal with this. If at any point we were unhappy with anything he would propose a solution and try to work with us. We ran into a few unforeseen issues since the house was older (which I think happens on almost any project!) but Andrew worked with us to explain everything and made sure they were taken care of. We are extremely happy with all the work that Andrew and his team did. The guys who work with him are trustworthy and worked hard and we couldn't have done any of this without them. I can honestly say that I was so excited with how spot on the finished project was compared to the vision that I had in mind at the beginning. I would definitely recommend Two Rivers and would hire them for any other projects."

"Let me start by saying, I would recommend Platinum Carpentry for any work that you need on your home!! Despite the usual issues that I believe would come up in any construction project, they were fantastic to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for a project and I hope to do so in the future for a few other things we'd like to get done on our home. The pricing was realistic, fair and reasonable. They (Lisa and Saul) were both completely responsive when contacting them. They answered all questions and made sure to discuss any changes to the original plans. They were both pleasant to deal with though the whole project. They did a great job and our new 'dining room' looks wonderful and makes for an awesome addition to our home. It's been 6 months since the project was done and we have had a few minor issues (NOT due to work quality) and we've already been told that they will take a look at the issues and send the electrician back to take a look at the issue with the light fixture. Again, not a reflection of work quality as I always believe that with construction there are unforeseen issues that can occur but since Platinum Carpentry guarantees their work for a year we knew we could count on them to not just finish a project and leave but to handle anything that comes out within that time frame. Now to completely lay out as much as possible, I feel obligated to share the only disappointing part of our project. The only thing that didn't work out so well for us was our carpet installation. The people that they have come in and do carpet (I believe they subcontract for this kind of work) did not install the carpet on our stairs properly. I'm not sure why but the tacks were sticking up in the stairs after it was initially installed. I called Saul/Lisa and the next day the carpet people came back. Again, there were still issues, and at that point the owner Lisa had to come back and deal directly with the carpet people making sure that all tacks were hit down. At the time it seemed like it was ok although the stairs didn't have the soft, comfy feeling to it like the regular carpet in the upstairs bedroom did. I could still feel something under my foot when walking down the steps. Unfortunately now 6 months later that issue has gotten worse and you can feel something on quite a few steps when walking down the steps which is disappointing since we spent a decent amount of money and it makes it a bit frustrating to know it still is an issue. We have reached out to the company though and I'm hopeful this will get looked at when they come to check out the few minor issues we are having."
