"Shortly after purchasing our home, we discovered water damage in the room beneath our small third-floor roof deck, and the roof started leaking badly inside, creating a large hole in the ceiling. Home warranty didn't cover it b/c it was pre-existing and the home inspector didn't catch it. Turns out the person who renovated our home prior to our purchasing it put down incorrect roof tiles beneath the roof, without an angle or space for water to leave the area, creating a pile up of debris between the roof and the deck. The only way to fix it was to tear down the deck, remove the roof tiles and put down the correct rolling tiles.
Chris and his crew at Home Crafters came in and tore down the existing wooden roof deck, removed the old tiles and rotten woodwork, and put down the proper tiles, fixing the leak. Not only were they professional and kind to us, but they were extremely patient with inquisitive neighbors who stopped by to ask questions. They also had to use our neighbor's parking pad in order to access our roof, and they quickly eased their nerves, putting down a huge tarp over their entire area and cleaned up every day after they were finished working.
The entire process took less than three days, and we were able to hire a drywall contractor to fix the interior water damage a few days after they were finished. It has now been three months, and the roof has held up without any problems.
We've been in touch with them ever since, hoping to sign Chris and company up to build us a new deck where the old one is, b/c we trust their professionalism and know they would be able to do a great job. Once that happens, I'll be sure to place another review. A little slow in returning messages, but highly recommended and worth the wait.

"Emergency Service Restoration is Top Flight. Jeff and his team did a great job very quickly. They are 100% dependable and we on the job fast and on time thought out the project. They take care of walking you thru the process with all the adjusters and insurance companies. The customer service is outstanding. We had a pipe leak into multiple rooms starting in the Kitchen. The guys knocked this job out very quickly and allowed us to maintain our daily schedules. I give them my highest recommendation."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"After getting four estimates two were close in price for the same services. Both of these providers emailed me their bids and sent written estimates. I emailed Nate that I wanted him to do the work. He called me back and set up a tentative day. He called me two days before the work was done to inform me on what day Ned at what time he would arrive. The work was done with no fuss or muss and Nate cleaned up anywhere it was necessary. We took a walk around the whole house to be sure all work was done to my satisfaction. It was. Nate is a young man who has been in business for several years. He and his family live in my area and I like to use local people when I am able. Great job, Nate!

It is both functionally sound (with a heater, fan and windows) and aesthetically pleasing (it matches the architecture of the rest of our house).
