"Two men, Jerry and Tommy, arrived on the morning of May 19, 2017 to install the system. Tommy dug a hole on one side of the house, poured a concrete foundation in said hole, and also set up metal tubing, which created a stand on which the condenser sits to protect it from runoff. Meanwhile, Jerry was inside, drilling holes through my bedroom and dining room interior and then exterior walls for the refrigerant pipes which run from the condenser to the air handlers. He mounted each air handler high up on the wall. There was also electrical work performed to connect the units to the main panel in the basement. The whole job took several hours. Both men worked quickly and efficiently. At the close of it, Jerry presented me with my remotes and instructions, and showed me the basics. I used the system for the first time just a couple of nights after installation. The first night (it was the start of a heat wave) the air from the system was cool-ish - tolerable, but not quite as comfortable as I'd hoped - but I was still uncertain about the controls so I didn't tab down the temperature. The second night I did tab down the temperature, and that's when I found out that, though the fans and vanes in both air handlers worked, the cooling mechanisms did not. Considering the amount of money I'd just spent i was more than a little upset. Visions of law suits danced in my overheated head that night. I called the next morning. Jerry came out that day and diagnosed the problem (something to do with the solenoids, or maybe it was the thermistors). In any case, he did fix it, and this time, it worked as designed, and has done so ever since. I should add that NETR offers a service contract. Despite the added expense - for me, 234.99 a year for 3 years (the annual rate is fixed for that period, plus I get a 5% discount) - it makes total sense to have this complex system undergo periodic maintenance. I will pay the total at the time of the first inspection, in 2018."

"They were extremely responsive and professional. Someone was dispatched to my home within 24 hours. He accurately diagnosed the problem - that the condensate pump had failed and needed to be replaced. He offered to replace it immediately because he had the part on his truck. The price quote ranged from $1350-$2100 depending on length of warranty I preferred. This seemed extremely high because I had the part replaced once before 3-4 years ago by another company for approx $400. I mentioned that to the installer; he indicated that the price was the price and he was sorry he couldn’t lower it. I found the identical pump online for prices ranging from $35-$75! It looked like an easy swap, so instead of paying Rodenhiser, I ordered the part from Amazon, received it the next day. I have zero experience or training and was able to swap it and fix the problem in literally 10 minutes. I understand that service companies need to charge for labor and mark up parts costs, but a repair I could do in 10 mins for under $50 should not have carried a $1350+ price tag! This was very disappointing, and I will not use them again."

This actually went on for a couple of months but Scott would contact me every couple of weeks and let me know what was going on. When the replacement part came in, they scheduled the work IMMEDIATELY and I met Jon, one of the senior techs and installers. Jon was on time, meticulous and thorough. Very clean and organized as you would expect a master craftsman to be. The repair went very well and made my stove run better than ever before. When your happy with a job someone does for you, you hardly ever write a review but something turns sour, people can't write one quick enough. When I need something done, I go online and read all the awful reviews of probably great companies so I do not hire them. This review is for all of you that are like me and come here to get the low down on a business. Do not hesitate to go with South Shore Fireplace. It is very hard to find craftsman who really care about what they do and also so nice to deal with. South Shore Fireplace will be my go to guys for the rest of my life. "Provider was very pleasant and arrived on time. He replaced our outdoor faucet and we upgraded to a frost free version. The water shut off for our faucet is inside the house, which created a little more work for the installer, but he was able to finish the install without an issue. Very easy transaction from start to finish. "
