"Everything was included in the price. The gas inspector permit, the gas inspection. Everything. I couldnâ t even get near that value for the money with other companies. Excellent work also."

"Charles Boyce is the owner of this company and a few more. His companies were responsible for the beautifcation of our home. From the new indoor plumbing to the brand new windows and doors, these guys, specifically Greg, put a lot of love and energy into our home. Homeserve sent them out and I'm grateful for that. The owner Charles, who proves that there is something in the water, came out to check the progress often, was kind, dependable, helpful and sympathetic. We have never, in the 13 years we've been down here, have EVER met such a more diligent company. They didn't patch, they fixed. They didn't try to upsell, they were upfront and honest. They got the job done."

"The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable.  He was able to diagnose the cause of the problem (no cold air coming out of our vents) and replace the faulty part  in about 15 minutes.  The problem was apparently a bad capacitor which wasn't allowing the condenser to start.  The amount I was charged to replace the capacitor was $347.  I asked the technician for the breakdown of parts and labor charges and he stated that he was not privvy to parts cost -- he only knows the flat fee they charge for the replacement.  The invoice only listed a total -- no breakdown of charges.
After he left I searched for the part online and found multiple sellers offering the part brand new for $20.  It was my inexperience in troubleshooting this type of problem that led me to grossly overpay for this part, so I'm not faulting the company.  They quickly fixed a problem that I was not able to fix myself.  But you can see from my experience that their price markup seems to be unreasonably high for a simple 15 minute fix.

"Everything went exceptionally well. A representative called within 10 minutes of me posting a request on Angies's List (no one else responded to my post). I requested an estimate from Hybrid and two other companies, however, Hybrid's representative was professional, on point, and answered my questions even after initial contact. I felt completely comfortable with the proposal. No disrespect to the other two companies, I just had a better connection with Hybrid's sales representative and the equipment presentation. When I made my selection, the workers were on time, prepared, professional and courteous. All work was completed on time with no problems. This was a big job for me since I had no duct work and the gas furnace, though still working (bless its heart), was original equipment from 1958. I am so glad to get rid of the window air conditioners. This company was a good fit for me and the new system is such an improvement in air quality and temperature control. The air conditioning was tested and I am sure it will be just as comfortable in the summer months. I couldn't be more pleased to move into the world of central heat and air conditioning. I feel that I made the right decision for now and in the future for service of the units."

"They came in the first day and demoed the pipes and tub. This mess stayed in the front yard for four days. I was teased that my house looked like Sanford and Son. The work progressed from there. The yard did get cleaned but the bathroom was not

"Highly recommend. Prompt, efficient, and professional. Cost for the service was very reasonable. I called Fire and Water to have my gas fire logs cleaned. They were very thorough and knowledgeable in servicing propane logs. I am comfortable that I can burn my logs without worrying about any issues coming up in the middle of the winter season."

"Christopher is excellent and has very fair prices - he goes out of his way to keep the final price in the homeowners budget. He is always there when you need him, whether it's at night or on the weekend. He's also a master plumber that does excellent work and is very friendly and easy to get along with. Christopher is able to come up with a solution to very complicated problems. We would highly recommend Christopher to anyone."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Williamsburg, VA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
