"I had a clog in my kitchen sink and took apart the p-trap and other pipes under the sink to try to clear the clog. It was obvious the problem was down somewhere in my waste pipe. I called All About and they had Ben come out the next day. Ben tried to access the drain pipe from the basement clean-out, but that thing hadn't been opened up in years and was rusted shut. Ben was able to get a snake down from the top and clear the drain. He was initially afraid maybe the drain pipe down to the sewer line was rusted through. He inspected it and said the pipe was actually in decent shape. When Ben put everything back together he realigned some of the pipes under the sink that were a bit wonky and relocated my dishwasher hose to drain better. Ben was kind, thorough, professional, and tidy. All About will always be my plumbing company!"

"Had to have a new sewer pipe replaced. Joel went above and beyond the normal hours when he ran into another problem. Work was done on time and price was what they had quoted . I would highly recommend them."

"Never having had this same problem before, it is hard to make a cost comparison. But our sense is that, in an urgent situation, we were not taken advantage of or pressured. We got quick response -- were told how to stop further leakage, and got new water heater installed the same day. Also learned about services in future that can prevent some forseeable issues. Richard was personable and professionable. He called when en route, and sent photo so we'd recognize him. He was knowledgeable, and explained situation and our options thoroughly. Then he acted expeditiously to turn a potential disaster (with company coming!) into a relatively fast "save" with no significant cleanup/damage to address afterward. We had been without a regular plumber, and knew we needed one. Now we've found one we like and trust. Hard to put a price tag on that!"

"IFix Plumbing was great, plumber was professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. He found the problem quickly, explained the issue, did the repair. The area was left clean. the price was fair for the quality of work. I am retired so money is always a concern. Happy to have found a company that’s honest, and reliable. I would hire iFix Plumbing again. Highly recommend!"

"We had been living in our new home (well, new for us, but 90 years old) for about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks.  We have a heat pump with oil furnace as backup.  (And know this about me, I am a "pay for it to be fixed/done right and maintain it" kind of person, I keep up with things, especially large investment type things, like a home.)  It had been pretty cold and I had the upstairs and downstairs thermostats set to the same temperature.  The downstairs did not seem to be keeping up, and the upstairs always ended up much warmer than it was set for.  Also, I noticed occasionally when the heat came on there was a noxious smell, not bad, but there, and not <em>every</em> time the heat came on.  I called CC to come check it out.  They had to reset the zones, no big deal.  They also scheduled me to have the furnace fully serviced, which happened a few days later. The total was about $300, and was this much only because I signed up for their "discount club" which includes routine maintenance, priority emergency appts, etc.  Without the club charge it would've been about $100.  Anyway, the findings were not ideal, but that's what happens when you move into a new/old home, right?  Unexpected expenses? Fabulous!  The backup oil furnace (only 10 years old) had pretty much died.  They could order parts and basically rebuild it for roughly $2000.  In the meantime, and for safety reasons, they disconnected the wiring that tripped the oil furnace so only the heat pump would run.  And of course, we had that severe cold snap while all of this was going on.  The heat pump did not keep up well and  froze up leaving us with no heat a couple of times.  Thank goodness for the wood stove!  I had taken a few days to decide what to do, bad timing on my part, and to get another opinion, which was relatively the same.  Being that I have a gas stove/oven and water heater, I knew I did not want to mess around with oil and decided to go ahead and have the oil furnace removed and a gas furnace installed.  I think I was worried that this would happen again, and to double the repair cost only to end up changing it out down the road would, um, not sit well with me, to put it nicely.  So, $2000 to fix or $4000 to convert?  We converted.  AND, they did it at the last minute on a Saturday in the freezing cold for what I considered to be a minor overtime charge.  They were great through it all!  Came by when I called about the heat not working, always responded quickly when I called with questions or issues, and these "issues" I'm speaking of had nothing to do with their work.  So all was fixed in about a week and a half or two at the most (remembering the time I took to decide) and cost just under $5000.  They were professional, courteous and timely, so yes, I will most definitely use them in the future!! <br />"

"This is an update to my original posting of 1/16/2023. The owner of the company called and scheduled an appointment for the next day to fix my toilet. He and one of their top plumbers, who successfully did work for me before, came to my house and completed the job. The owner apologized for what had transpired and said the work was not being charged to me. I asked that he please tell me the cost and that I wanted to pay but he said it was a courtesy visit due to what had happened. He never asked me to change any reviews and just apologized again. I thought it was very admirable and wanted to do this update. While I can't give a 5 star review due to the disorganized office, I was impressed with Keith (the owner) and Terry who worked with him to fix my problem."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Zirconia, NC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
