The old water filter holder was difficult to use and not secured well; they replaced it, relocated it to free up basement space and fastened it securely to the wall. The pressure tank was also moved to a better location to free up space. The plumbing and electrical were re-routed. The pressure switch and pressure gauge were replaced. They were very cooperative and accommodating to my suggestions and wishes. The cost was reasonable."

"EXCELLENCE! The team was amazing. We had a leak in the front yard and it took 'a minute' for the county to find our shut-off valve to determine it was our pipe. Gary from Heil came out on time to give an estimate and they were able to get Miss Utility out and do the work the same day, all in about 3 hours! They only had to dig one hole near the shut-off to replace the whole line. They also filled the hole back in AND SEEDED and put hay on top, and at my request wrapped caution tape around the area (so the area can dry out). The hole they had to drill in the wall in the basement was patched and their "Pullzit” method worked beautifully (I actually video taped it, it was awesome to see). Oh and they either took off their shoes or put on their own shoe covers when they came in the house (didn't have to ask). Thank you Gary, Ronnie, Shaun, Tatiana and everyone involved for resolving this so quickly and efficiently. We HIGHLY recommend Heil Plumbing!!"

I was there when they came to look at it and when they had to come to the work they came back and were very respectful and hard workers. "- Plumber came and snaked the pipe. The water went down fine and he left. - Two days later the tenant said the kitchen sink was backing up again but he did not schedule an appointment because the problem went away relatively quickly. - Three weeks later Tenant sends me a video the kitchen sink being backed up again. Tenant was very clear they were careful to minimize any food that goes down the trash disposal in case it could clog up the pipe. I spoke with Definitive because I felt like I paid to have a problem fixed and the problem was not fixed; I felt some type of credit was in order. The plumber's argument was that 3 weeks had passes and that they couldn't warranty a service. Fair enough, but 3 weeks strike me as awfully short time frame, especially if food was not being thrown in the trash disposal. I googled this situation and it seems its customary and accepted practice that you pay for services rendered regardless of the results. Fair, that's fine. As far as the recurring clogging problem, it appears there are many instances where the snaking can break through the clog but can a) partially break the clog leaving grease and other debris on the sides or b) break the clog but not go down far enough whereby the debris will remain somewhere in the pipe and eventually build back up. Generally this seems to happen with amateurs that aren't thorough enough with the snaking and don't snake down far enough. It's true, my tenants could have stuffed a whole bunch of food down the drain but everything about them so far has been such that I believe them when they say they minimized the amount of food that went down the garbage disposal. To me the lack of thoroughness in the snake job seems more plausible which is why I gave them a D for quality."

They reconfigured an awkward gas pipe near my washing machine, replaced an exterior gas hose with a UV resistant one, and checked all gas piping including our gas fireplace. I own a house in Federal Hill that is currently tenant occupied.  The tenants alerted me that there was a gas smell in the kitchen, I called BGE and they came out, turned off gas, and BGE found two spots leaking gas, in the basement, which is under the kitchen.  They asked me to have a plumber check out, asap.  I went on Angie's list and received a call back from the owner of this company within 5 minutes ( it was around 8am on a weekday morning).  He was responsive, informative and really cared. He was at the property very quickly and found a leak at the piping for the hot water heater and also inspected the boiler, in which he said that it was time to get it replaced, and it was leaking gas, it was really old. He showed the tenants where the gas was coming from..He cemented the piping to the wall for the hot water heater.  He spent way over an hour with the tenants and another 45 minutes of the phone with me.  He also inspected the range and said he thought there might be a leak from the cable (which he was right), BGE did not pick up on that one.  He is very knowledgeable.  The range really needed to be replaced, it was old, and I ordered a new cable/range, when Best Buy delivered, they said they could not install, so I then called the owner of this company again, he was at an emergency repair, and he came by at 9:30 that night, after working another emergency repair all day, which was a sewer line, and installed the new range for the tenants. He had to then take apart the old range and haul it away because it would not fit thru the door.  I can not say enough how responsive and nice he is.  He really spent time making sure I understood everything, he is also a gas fitter, so he explained all that to me.  His costs are very very reasonable, I will recommend him to everyone I know.  I also called him about what kind of cable I needed for the new range when I was ordering it, and he spent more time going over exactly what I needed to order and what material was best. I called him again for advise when I was interviewing HVAC contractors.
