"It is so refreshing to get people in who know what they are doing and love their work. We had not had regular service on our heat system in a couple of years because whenever we did have someone in to service it we could tell they really did not know what they were doing and it seemed like a waste of money. But Frank and Gordon really know their stuff. Right away they could tell us several things about the installation that were less than ideal (such as the location of the safety vents), got to work straight away and worked steadily for more than 3 hours. They also were very happy to tell us everything they were doing and educate us about our system. And it works so much better now. The heat distribution about the house had been very uneven (hot in the bedrooms and cold on the main level), and a lot of steam had been venting unnecessarily out the safety valves because they were too close to the boiler, causing the automatic water refill to kick in much more often than it should. Now we have even temp on both levels, mostly due to the moving of those valves, and the ability to regulate the heat output of the upstairs radiators. The programmable thermostat is nice too. So we are definitely more comfortable. With any luck, the system might be more efficient and therefore burn less natural gas, but they did not guarantee a reduction in our utility bill."

The workers showed up promptly on the first day to start the work and every day thereafter. The lead plumber, Rob, did a great job of communicating the progress at the end of the day and what he intended to accomplish the next day. Each day Rob made sure that water service was restored through out the house and that there were no leaks from the work that had been performed. The piping replacement was completed on the schedule originally proposed. Rob, and his helper Mark, were very professional and courteous and a pleasure to deal with. "I highly recommend HGH! From beginning of project to end we felt in safe and capable hands. Firstly, Jim of HGH made sure the gas stove we wanted was a good fit for our home. He wouldn't take on the project if it wasn't. Then Matt came out to do the job which was very involved. A pipe needed to be installed through the living room ceiling, into upstairs bedroom and outside. Matt was meticulous with measurement and placement, and included us to make sure stove and pipe placements were just right. He was patient and exacting as if it were his own home. He cleaned up the area before he left for the day (took two days), and communicated all we needed to know about stove and installation process. Everyone we dealt with were both professional and personable. Jim's twin brother came out post installation to make sure all was perfect, which it was. The only reason I gave the price category a “B” is because the entire job was expensive but WELL WORTH IT!"
