"**UPDATE 2/11/14**. Bryan Richards, the owner of the company, contacted me after reading about my experience. He agreed I should have been able to use my coupon, and agreed to refund me the difference. Since the work was done to my satisfaction, I'm pleased we could find a compromise, and was impressed by the companies response to an uncomfortable situation. I'm happy to change my review based on his responsiveness and concern.

My issue lies more in the customer service department. The switch replacement work itself went perfectly. The quality was good, and the timing was good as well. Upon the arrival of the techs, I was informed I couldn't use my coupon because the work I wanted done was for work previously quoted to me (it IS in the fine print). My issue is that the time they were out before, when the quote was given, it was unsolicited. I'd had them out to repair a ceiling fan, not give me a quote on my light switches....the tech happened to notice I had my faceplates removed and questioned what kind of project I was working on. He slipped the estimate into my paperwork without my asking for it. I don't think it's fair that this prevented me from using my coupon since I never asked for the estimate. Also, $282.95 for four light switches seems high to me. But the worst part of the experience came this morning when Pam from their office called to get a survey on Michaels work. She had just asked me the 2nd question, "was I satisfied with the quality of work?". I was in the process of telling her my disappointment with the cost of the visit, when she interrupted me to ask if she could place me on hold. Apparently she thought she had successfully placed the call on hold, but unfortunately she didn't, so I heard her clearly say to the office manager "Can you finish talking to him? He just keeps rattling on, and I'm just trying to do the surveys". I hung up the phone, called back, and apologized for wasting her time with my complaint. She seemed confused until I told her id heard her tell the office manager about how I kept rattling on. She nervously tried to explain how she was just trying to "make sure I was happy with the work", but it seems to me that if that we're true, she would have been willing to listen to my complaint instead of complaining about how I was rattling on. Clearly, her response was born out of nervousness due to the fact that she got caught talking poorly about a paying client. Btw, both calls lasted a total of 3 minutes, so I'm not clear how I was able to rattle on in such a short amount of time. 2 minutes for the initial complaint, and 1 more minute to call back apologizing for wasting her time with my complaint. I have a photo record of the call log on my phone. I am not sure what can be done to rectify the situation. The work has already been performed and paid for, but I'm not sure I want to work with a company that treats their clients like this. I'm sad because I really liked them up until this point, they'd been out for projects on two other occasions. The feedback I got from Michael was that the coupons couldn't be used for previously quoted work or they company wouldn't make money. As a small business owner myself, I understand the caution against overuse of coupons vs the bottom line, but all three of the coupons I've used with electramedics have been on different projects (wall outlets, ceiling fan, light switches), which should have been an appropriate use of the coupons.

"We felt that we should not have had to pay 210$ for service that we had no idea was needed, as the previous technicians you have sent never advised biyearly maintenance. We could have received the same service for less money from Horizon or BGE Home !"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"I liked this company and I intend to consider using them in the future if or when I have this work done. Their estimate was the same as two other companies I had interviewed, so I think they are fair about what they ask for their work. They were real punctual and nice though, so I was impressed with them overall and I will think about using them if or when I proceed with this stuff down in my basement."

FAQs for hot tub or spa repair or service projects in Adairsville, GA

To keep your hot tub in top shape, replace the filter annually and inspect the shell for any cracks. Test the water quality weekly, and schedule a professional service annually for $100 to $200. Consistent upkeep protects performance, ensures safe operation, and helps you avoid more expensive repairs down the line.

There is no single “correct” number, but a good rule of thumb is to use up to 30 jets per massage pump to provide balanced pressure and full-body coverage. Focus on jet quality, placement, and pump power rather than simply counting jets—the right mix delivers a soothing, efficient massage while keeping the system running smoothly.

When weighing repair versus replacement, start by comparing the total repair cost and the frequency of problems with the price of a new tub. If the spa is under 10 years old and the fix costs less than half the price of a new model, repair usually makes sense. Frequent breakdowns or repairs creeping toward new-tub pricing—especially when replacements can exceed $16,000—are strong indicators that it’s time to invest in a new unit.

With proper care and maintenance, a hot tub can last anywhere from five to 20 years. Plan for an annual professional service visit to address water-quality issues, component problems, or warning signs as soon as they appear. Staying on top of routine hot tub maintenance protects performance, safety, and long-term value.

You should consider replacing your hot tub pump if you notice unusual noises, a sudden drop in water pressure, or leaks near the pump housing. These key warning signs indicate that circulation is compromised, so call a professional hot tub repair expert promptly to keep the spa running in top condition.

A well-maintained hot tub heater lasts between seven and 10 years. You should always ensure the water’s pH is balanced and schedule yearly check-ups to maintain efficient heating. Catching minor issues early and scheduling regular hot tub professional maintenance helps the heater stay reliable and can prevent additional repair costs.
