"We needed our boiler replaced and had multiple companies come and look at the job. We ended up selecting Sila as we read good reviews on the company. Sila surpassed our expectations. The tech who performed the install (Gage) was on time, communicated the entire process to us from start to finish and did a tremendous job. "He was timely, professional and responsive. He clearly knows the technical aspects of the trade and provided us with a lot of information about the equipment he would be installing and how it would work with our existing ductwork.  We did not care for his sales approach because he tried to sell us on things we did not ask for and did not need.  He tried to sell us on a humidifier for the system which we really don't need because we live right by the ocean where it is quite humid year round, even in the winter. Adding humidity to our house could cause problems with mildew or mold.   He also tried to sell us on replacing our hot water tank for a more efficient model even though ours is only 5 years old.  We got the feeling that he was trying to pack as much sales onto the heat loan program without really thinking about the customer's specific situation, and that put off me and my husband from wanting to work with him.  At the end of his sales presentation he decided on the spot he would give us an unspecified discount.  We did not like this high pressure sales tactic.  We had not received other quotes yet so we declined to decide on the spot.  He emailed us a couple days later offering a 10% discount if we decided by a certain date a couple days later.  We decided to wait beyond that date so we could get more bids.
Joe's quote was $2000 higher than a quote from another installer who has equally good reviews on Angies list.  Both quotes were to install the same equipment, however the second installer included the cost of converting two unused ducts into returns and installing a pass though in a ceiling to help balance our system.  I shared this information with Joe, and he responded by saying he would beat their price by $100.  It goes to show that it pays to shop around. 
As Airco's good reviews on Angies list attest and my interactions with him, I am sure they would do quality work, but my husband and I were totally put off by his sales and pricing approach and did not want to work with the company as a result.

"Darren and team worked directly with our landscape architect to ensure that the design for the snowmelt was compatible with a few particular details of the hardscaping, e.g. the bluestone slabs on the back entrance. They coordinated the installation of the snowmelt with the contractor building out the new parking court and walkway, and had the whole system installed on time and on budget. They use quality parts and as far as we can tell their workmanship is high quality as well. We're particularly impressed with the ongoing support we've received from Atlantic Heating. We've had one or two minor issues with the system over the past couple of years, and Darren and team have always addressed them promptly and thoroughly and free of charge. Even when we erroneously suspected a problem with the hot water heater, they helped us debug the actual root cause (a faulty shutoff valve unrelated to their work) and made a recommendation on how to resolve it."

"It went GREAT! They were there on time with the a new 275 gal Granby Oil Tank. They remove the oil in the old tank and then removed the tank. They installed the new tank, with a new gauge, new shut off valves and all the associated piping. They then transferred all the good oil back into my tank and restarted my oil burner. They also secured the necessary permit for the installation. They did all this in less than 2 hours. Very neat and professional workmanship. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing an oil tank replaced. P.S. I hear that they also remove oil tanks that are buried under ground."

"He arrived earlier and took a full hour to clean and inspect the chimney which hadn't been cleaned in at least 25 years. The chinmay was oil then last yeara converted to gas. He said the chimney had only minor debris and recommended we install liner eventually and a better rain cap and also to add a clean out door.  He addressed why we could need a liner and what to do until we have a liner installed (ie carbon monoxide alarm on all floors).  All in all we are very happy with the service provided and the attention to detail with both the work done and talking about the liner, etc recommendations. We highly recommend Chimney Chap.

"Excellent for maintenance service and emergency work. I subscribed to their maintenance service for several years before they raised the rate, and they always did fine work. When I switched to another maintenance company that missed a flaw in my furnace which caused it to fail on season startup, AccuTemp came out to diagnose the problem the same day with no contract, got the large expensive replacement part for free under warranty, and had it fully installed and working again within 2 calendar days. All that for just the cost of a day's labor!"

"I needed 2 dryer vents cleaned - one on the 2nd floor and a vent cap replaced (also on the 2nd floor). All the companies I initially contacted would not do the job for a variety of reason. Superior did all the work I needed plus replaced the dryer hose on one unit (which we had not discussed). Additionally, I had purchased a vent cap but it did not fit. Superior had one on the truck which did fit and they got the job done! Excellent service!"
