"24 hour service with NO up charge. Requested a repair, no heat. Existing Lennox furnace was 30 years old. Our first contact with Technician Nick was an indication of the professionalism and expertise of the company. Nick showed up sharing with us, great coffee from Lewiston. He found the furnace blower seized up but also the beginning of two cracks in the heat exchanger (CO hazard). Nick showed me the cracks with a camera. The furnace break down occurred the day we were supposed to leave for vacation. Belknap accommodated us with same day service and replacement with a new furnace. Everything was explained. People were in and out all day. Scott measured. Chris issued a proposal. Dave and Corey installed. A new Ruud furnace replaced the Lennox. The installers replaced all the exhaust pipes including that for the HW heater, disassembled the unused wood burning furnace connections, did electronic hookups to the circuit breaker panel, installed a hard wire combination smoke /CO detector and a new digital thermostat. All old equipment was removed and the work area cleaned up. The new setup looks much better, smaller and shiny. All conscientious and thorough guys. We chose not to replace the air conditioner (suggested due to the old style metal drip basin) since it still works. This would have cost more than the furnace. We felt the furnace install price was very fair considering the amount of work completed and the heat emergency. Give this company a call when you need heat!"

"We had just registered with Home Advisor asking for recommendations for Tankless Water Heater Repairs. Top Notch Heating and Cooling was the first recommendation, along with 6 others. I had not even finished reading the list of recommendations on the webpage on my IPad and the phone rang. As Home Advisor passes leads to their contractors immediately, Top Notch received my contact info and reached out to offer help and advice. In this day and age we have made calls to various contractors that never returned our call so to have such a quick response was refreshing to say the least. The owner/Operator called himself and asked for info on our needs. He was waiting for a customer to meet him for a quote and called us in the dead time. I explained that the electronic igniter on our 15 year old Tankless Water Heater was not firing when the internal sensor sensed water flow as it was suppose to. This lead to dangerous conditions as the system was opening the gas supply but not firing the igniter. Sometime a delayed firing resulted in a loud POP when the collected gas was lit. The owner, Robin was going to be near our neighborhood for an estimate early that evening and stopped before his appointment. He examined the site, and made a recommendation and gave an estimate to correct an issue with venting the exhaust. I said we would consider it and get back to him. That evening the old heater just stopped igniting at all leaving us with no hot water. I called Robin and asked him to take the job. He agreed, however it was now the start of the holiday week end and the required solution was a special order water heated that was out of stock. The order was placed and Robin said he would install today between 9 am and 10am. He and this two employees arrived a few minutes after 9 and removed the old equipment and associated plumbing and exhaust vent, installed the new heater and cleaned up the area. He was happy to take away the old equipment, and repaired an outside faucet that I had mentioned I was having problems with, all in less than 1 1/2 hour. First rate service and quality installation. I still havenâ t had a call from any of the other recommendations we were given and Robin has responded and been here twice and completed the work before any of the others even made an effort to respond."

"Robin and crew did a very nice job. They were very polite and punctual and were able to get my broken hot water tank replaced pretty quickly in the dead of winter. They accommodated moving my new water heater to a different/preferred area of the basement. They worked hard all day without a lunch break and the work was very tidy- things were done quite cleanly and efficiently. They cleaned up afterward and everything looked great. Robin's communication with me was always prompt and excellent, including a follow-up call after installation. I can't write a review yet about the tankless brand itself because it's still quite new, but so far so good- we're enjoying the instant hot water and not worrying about running out of hot water!"
