"Good experience.  Charlotte was  very easy and pleasant to work with.  She sent her husband who brought a lot of tools that would be used for a difficult gas line leak with pipe intersections. It required some specific saws to cut without damaging other pipe. It was efficiently taken care of in an hour in a half. They arrived early and called ahead to see if that was convenient. Very good work. <br />"

"Very well. I was hit by the power outage followed by Burst pipes after this recent freeze and winter storm. I put my request on Angies list on Friday or Saturday, and had I been home, they would have come Monday. When I called back and explained my work situation, they were able, with minimal fuss to set me up for repair First thing Tuesday. Juan arrived a tiny bit early, identified himself immediately, was extremely courteous and answered any questions I asked. I think it took about 3 hours to diagnose and repair 2 indoor and 2 outdoor pipes/faucet controls. The price came in right at the average listed on Angies list for my location. He took pictures of his work to submit to my insurance company and sent them to me by email. I can’t complain at all and would recommend them to friends or family."

"It went great. We had not previously used a plumber since buying this house 2 years ago. Over the weekend, the first floor powder room toilet overflowed and the kitchen sink also showed signs of backup during the spin cycle on the washing machine. After cleaning up the mess and plunging the toilet, it still wouldn't drain even though the toilet and drains in the master bath were okay. Since the kitchen drains were semi-functional, we decided to wait until Monday morning to find a plumber. I called Allgood Plumbing at 8:15 AM Monday morning and Jerry said he could be here in an hour. He ended up getting here at 10:00 AM which I thought was very fast response. He checked the outside sewer line pressure relief and determined the plug was in the house. He removed the drain connection under the kitchen sink and fed about 45 feet of his router flex cable through the sewer line. Once it fed freely, he stopped and we checked to see if the plug had been pushed through which it had. I checked every drain in the house and they all flowed freely. Hurray! Jerry generally works by himself but said he does have two helpers when needed. Last Friday, he said the 3 of them replaced a 170 foot pipe buried 3 feet underground that required all that hand digging in this heat. Wow, I know who I'm calling when I need any plumbing services again!"

"I called yesterday to see about having someone come out to give an estimate/replace an old galvanized pipe going into the water heater. The pipe is only about six inches long and is the horizontal pipe coming out of the wall and connects to a flexible copper pipe that goes into the water heater. The receptionist was friendly, and since I was wanting to have repairs done and not just an estimate, the first available appointment was today. The time slot was from 12-2pm. I received a call early this morning asking if the plumber could come earlier since he finished a job ahead of schedule. I agreed and at about 11am Chris and a co-worker showed up. He asked if I wanted to replace the whole set up or just the leaking pipe. I just wanted the leaking pipe fixed so he gave me a quote, I accepted, and less than thirty minutes later, the job was done. He was quick, efficient, and gave me advice and a quote for another repair job that needs to be done. The only downsides were that Chris and his co-worker did not introduce themselves when they arrived. They were wearing T-shirts from the company and I suppose it could have had something to do with the way I answered the door. We have dogs and I yelled through the door for them to hold on while I put the dogs up. (I did not get a phone call advising that they were on the way, or else the dogs would have been up already.) When I let them in, I just showed them right to the laundry room and they got to work. The other issue is the price. It seemed like a lot of money for a six inch pipe and twenty minutes of work, but what's a girl to do when her husband and father-in-law are out of town?! HA! I thought about attempting to do the repair myself but with sheetrock that was JUST repaired on Tuesday, painted on Wednesday, and another NEW water leak found. I was dreading making things worse on Thursday and having to cut into the wall that was just repaired! I was VERY pleased that they were able to do the job without cutting into the wall. <br /> In the past month we've had John Moore plumbing out (a disaster!! and a rip off!) to fix three leaking pipes in the attic. They fixed three pipes, took 9 hours, a call to 911 for heat exhaustion, wait for the supervisor to come finish, and he didn't do what we asked. Ended up on the phone a half hour after they left because one leak was NOT fixed and wasted all day the next day to have a guy show up at 9pm  to tell me "I was LUCKY" he had a clamp in his truck as a temporary fix (when he KNEW he was coming to fix a leak!!) We hired another plumbing guy to replace all the horizontal pipes in the attic and he left with clogged pipes, the second toilet not working and back yard spicket not getting water. I am pleased with the information that Chris gave me today regarding those issues and as soon as we can financially afford to fix the remaining issues I think we will be calling Graham Plumbing out to do the work. <br />"

"<strong>Jason Luck provides a great service!</strong> He is a  hard working professional that provided the most cost effective re-pipe option for our rental home.  <br /> Since I'm a project manager from Dallas and this rental home is in Houston, I did some research, set Monday appointments with 3 of the plumbing companies I spoke with, and expected to hire one of them for the project. The first thing that I learned about the plumbing industry in Houston was that most companies see re-pipes as a golden egg. They are unwilling to take these jobs on a T&M basis. None of the 3 companies were honest with me about this when I set the appointments. I had shared with them my construction management backround and my intent to hire the vendor on a T&M (time & material) basis. Being in the construction industry, I understood that vendors pad their fixed bids to ensure they don't come up short. All three companies sent a master plumber and a helper to bid the job and hopefully start the project. All three also provided fixed bids and were unwilling to take the project on a T&M basis. <br /> When asked, they all said it would take 16-20 hours by a two man crew. The average cost the parts was about $1000. Here is the breakdown of their bids. <br /> Company A bid $9000 (parts 1000, labor 8000) $8000/40 = $400 per crew hour <br /> Company B bid $7400 (parts 1000, labor 6400) $6400/40 = $320 per crew hour <br /> Company C bid $6200 (parts 1000, labor 5200) $5200/40 = $260 per crew hour <br /> I had also spoke with Luck Plumbing on the phone about my project but Jason was tied up on a previous job. After my frustrating day with the 3 above mentioned companies, I called and scheduled Jason for early Wednesday morning. I requested to be Jason's helper to save a little extra on my project. <br /> Luck Plumbing Total Cost $3825. This price included all the re-pipe parts plus new feed lines for the sinks. Jason also rebuilt both toilets while he had them removed.  <br /> I would highly recommend Jason Luck/Luck Plumbing. <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Angleton, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
