"Bruce from Silverwood Builders Company gave me an estimate but I haven’t used him.  His estimate was competitive.  I own a 4 unit building down town and one of the condos in it has not yet been redone.  The building is an older building.  It was originally built in the 1800’s.  It was redesigned by an architect in 1919.  I redid most of the units in 2008 but I have got one unit left which I wanted redone for myself.  There is some extensive architectural work that I needed to have done, for example a new kitchen design, changes to my living room wall structure, adding a bath, adding a laundry room and an exterior porch on the back of the unit.  I had Bruce give me an estimate which was round about $80,000.  His estimate is still high considering the work I want to get done.  So I may not even do that work.  I also got in touch with another provider.  I haven’t made a move on anyone yet.  I just don’t plan on investing that much at the time.  However, when Bruce talks about everything that they are going to do; I understand it.  He was responsive.  He was instantly very straightforward.  He talked me through a couple of things that would save me some money.  That to me is a mark of an honest and straightforward person.  I would go to him for estimates in the future."

"We had used Legacy previously for windows and we called them about our kitchen project. Mark came back out and we discussed the goals we wanted and what our budget was.I showed Mark online the things we liked and he came back with a proposal that was workable. Legacy is not a huge company and we always spoke with Mark when we had questions. That was nice. The project was involved. In addition to the kitchen needing a new floor, fixtures, counter tops and cabinets, we cut a hole in the side of the house and put a large window there. More light in the kitchen is fantastic! The project took more than 2 months from start to finish. It was a little longer than we anticipated but we understood. Legacy has talented carpenters but not a lot of them. Mark and Robert both told us it would be nice and that can take a little time. They were right. The attention to detail was awesome. And as the project unfolded we did make small changes on the fly. Those were a difference maker. we love our new kitchen and we look forward to getting our master bath done next by Legacy. "Scheduled at 10 am and the handyman was prompt and pleasant. He purchased and picked up the materials for us. He replaced the Lauan cabinet bottom with oak. The Materials were a little more costly and better than what was in there so the job cost more than I expected. The workmanship is good and he cleaned up afterwards. Including two trips for materials he was here about 3 hours.
