"The installation went well. They put in a smaller unit after checking our square footage and insulation rating in attic and the type of windows we have installed. They said our current unit was larger than what was needed and keeping the same size would end up causing the unit to recycling more (cut on/off), thus causing more wear and tear on unit and electrical costs.  It was our choice as to what size we wanted installed. We went with smaller unit and it works great and saved us $$$ by going down in size.. We were also told if we are not satisfied with the unit within one year, we could change it out for the larger unit.  We had some issues with the cleanup (this was a new crew). I called and they sent a supervisor out and the mess was cleaned up. He also checked the work that was done on the installation.  After having the unit for several weeks they did an follow up call to check to make sure the unit was working properly for us and inspect the unit. Great having the follow up and customer service. This is a great company with excellent service and also looking at saving money for the customer.

"Butch called back right away. Came out in a timely fashion. Got one unit working. Then he said the main board was malfunctioning on the downstairs unit and would have to be replaced. It would cost 1200 or 1300. But if we spent a little extra on a service contract he would wave the trip fee and it would be 1100 something. Okay. We did that. It was too late for him to get the board that day so he came out the next day to install the board. But the unit still didn't come on. He said the thermostat was bad and it would we 300 to 500 to replace the thermostat depending on what we wanted. My husband told him we could do that ourselves. Just by pass it and get the unit working. Then he came down and said that the blower motor was out and it would be 1800 to replace the blower motor or 2400 to just replace the whole unit and then we'd be under warranty again. I told them I wanted a second opinion before we did that. I called Ed & Sons they came out, confirmed that we did need a new thermostat. And said they could rebuild the blower motor for around 100$. I ordered two new thermostats for 300 for both of them and my husband installed the thermostats. The work they did was fine. But I felt like they were more of the school of let's just replace parts until it works or we can sell them a new unit. Rather than what can we fix."

"We had lived in our new home a few months and knew we needed to have a water softener installed.  We had met this company at a home show and they took our information.  Expecting to be overwhelmed by phone calls from all the water softener companies we met at the home show, this company was the only one to make a sales call.  After doing my preliminary review of all the companies I felt comfortable with scheduling a home demonstration.

The salesman they sent to our home was somewhat new but extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.  Bo answered all of our questions, and made us feel comfortable with moving forward with the installation.  We were not able to purchase the system right away and asked Bo to please call us back in 6 months, as we did not want to finance this purchase.  He took our information, and called us back exactly 6 months later, returned to our home and completed the sale.  He was also able to schedule the installation for the next business day.

The installer showed up to our home exactly as scheduled and performed the installation in a timely and professional manner.  Bo also, returned to help with the installation.  There were no problems with the installation and we were comfortable with operation of the water softener and the reverse osmosis.

We purchased the Hydronex water softener system, and the Micromax 6000 reverse osmosis.  We have only had the system for a couple of days, but I am extremely happy with this purchase, and the entire ProStar team.  We are happy to part of the ProStar family and look forward to continuing our business with them.

"Everything went smoothly up until I had a ceiling leak and we found that the condensation line to the other unit was broken during the installation. It was not carelessness but a poor design by the builder of the home. Anyway, they agreed to fix it and the damage it caused, without any need for me to make a lot of noise. My only complaint was that the repair was long and drawn out taking 4 or 5 visits to complete and the repairman was good but never came on schedule."
