"Steve Pace did an outstanding job of replacing two mid-1980's Central Vacs with a MD Vacuum single unit which covers the entire house. He was a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend him if you have a central vac service need or for a new installation."

"From the beginning to the end these guys were professional and had unique services. They didn’t just come and look at the leak we had. They looked at the whole house (And found problems that were beyond their scope that we didn’t know about). They looked at the whole house. They didn’t just estimate the job. They provided complete details (work breakdown structure details for those familiar with formal project management). They arrived on time and told us what might delay or speed up the project along with potential savings/cost additions. Everything went like clockwork. Afterwards George helped us tremendously with the insurance claim and followed up months later. Just outstanding by the definition of the word."

"We live in Oregon and had to coordinate remotely, but email/phone communication was good when lining up testing and estimates. Alex and I texted while items were being pulled from the house, receiving confirmation photos. Comms were good coordinating return of the cleaned items to a storage unit. Billing went smooth. It was only when items didn't turn up that AFF began to destroy the good will they had built with me. When trying to resolve the issue, they blamed their subcontractors and said objects not added to the project through "established communication channels" were not their responsibility -- it didn't matter how much proof I had. An antique family heirloom was lost and left another one sitting in Texas to be retrieved later on our dime. AFF makes errors and dodges accountability. Find another local outfit. If you must work with AFF, dot every i and cross every t -- and make sure you do it through their "established" channel. They added frustration to our tragedy."

FAQs for indoor air quality testing projects in Austin, TX

You should test your home's air quality if you or your family experience health problems like allergies or respiratory issues, as these could be linked to indoor contaminants. Also, consider testing if you're concerned about mold, radon, carbon monoxide, or if you've recently had home construction, demolition, excavation, or remodeling that could have released chemicals into your indoor air.

An indoor air quality test typically takes one to three hours to complete. After the inspection, you'll receive a detailed written report within two to 10 days. The evaluation includes comprehensive air sampling from all designated areas in your home. Your specialist will review the findings with you and provide clear guidance on steps to take if any issues are found, helping ensure your indoor environment meets health and safety standards.

A certified indoor air quality consultant or inspector is the right professional to perform your indoor air test. While some home inspectors have certifications, they often subcontract this specialized work to trained professionals with advanced tools. This expert will thoroughly evaluate air samples from every area in your home and clearly explain the findings to you. Be sure to confirm your tester's credentials before scheduling your service.
