"Willy was extremely thorough in troubleshooting potential causes for the lack of heat coming from my heater. He progressively eliminated the thermostat and multiple other components before concluding the heater was having air flow issues and had been repeatedly overheating. He educated me along the way about how to decipher heater status codes, what the heater behavior told him as he was trying different things, what he believed the problem was, and what options I had. He also educated me about filters and suggested I use a more porous filter, despite my allergies. Ultimately, my best option was to replace the heater and air conditioner, given the repeated stress the heater had been under for multiple years, its current performance, the interconnectedness of the heater and air conditioner, and the fact I planned to stay in the condo for years more. Because Willy did such a nice job educating me and helping me understand the implications of each option, I feel good about the decision to replace the units."

He was patient with us and answered all our questions. His courteous approach gave us a positive view of the company he represented. The installing technician, Linas, and the tech that was assisting him only continued this professional trend. They both were equally as courteous. Once the work was complete, Linas made sure he answered all of our questions and that we felt comfortable with the operation of our new furnace and humidifier before he left. His patience was very much appreciated. He also made sure the area were the work was done was clean and all trash removed. Will Gutierrez followed up with us a few days afterwards to make sure all was well, and that we were pleased with the work and our new purchase. Our answer was a definite, yes."

"They were able to send out a tech to repair our AC pretty quickly (within a few days), even though this was during a bout of unusually high temperatures. The tech arrived towards the end of the given arrival window; even though he was still within the window, they called me that day to let me know he would be later rather than earlier, which was nice. The tech diagnosed the issue, and discussed options with me and fixed it (low line refrigerant, possible leak). All that was great, and prices seemed reasonable. The only negative part of the experience is that there was an extra charge to de-ice the frozen interior coils. I could have done that in advance if I knew I was supposed to (the tech seemed surprised I hadn't, or that I wasn't told to). Maybe that's obvious to others, but it's not that big of a deal, just an an annoying extra cost."

"Initial estimate was scheduled with no problem, they took the time to answer all the questions I had about the furnace replacement. I received estimated from 6 other HVAC companies and American Family was basically the lowest, but I also felt comfortable with the level of knowledge and experience that was conveyed at the estimate. I scheduled the install and was a bit disappointed that the installers did not show until 10 am or so, but that was not a big problem as I had assumed the job would take all day. The job took longer than expected (past 7pm) and the installer wound up having to replace an entire part of the intake duct work that he did not expect to, but in the end the unit and ductwork looked clean and sturdy and well intalled. The owner called for a follow up appointment and he came in to look at the install and make sure all the settings were correct on the furnace. He answered any questions I had at that time. All in all a good experience with a good company"
