"As a former licensed building contractor and well respected by the building commission in Colorado Springs, CO, I must say that HD Mechanical Inc. superseded my expectations. Brandon was excellent! They were very considerate and laid a tarp on all the floors to minimize trash or dirt on the floor. Brandon came over very considerate to my needs and "did not" try to up sale me on other services that others do such as installing new venting when it is not really needed. They pulled the permit in Downey, CA and it easily passed. He communicated with me every step of the way. The receive 5 stars from me!"

"I highly recommend this company to anyone that is having any type of HVAC issues or is looking to install an entirely new HVAC system. The initial repair tech was very professional and was able to quickly diagnose the problem. The company was able to provide a couple of options for us and the system has been performing better than I expected. Very pleased."

"From beginning to end all of our interactions with Southland have been positive. Ray who initially consulted with us consistently responds quickly and is great to work with. The lead on our installation, Willie, was professional and efficient, managing a complex job to a timely completion. Follow up by office staff to complete necessary paperwork for rebates has been outstanding."

"Cloud Comfort was great from the first point of contact to the day of installation. Izzy took the time to answer all my questions and helped me understand what was best for my unique situation and budget. I went with a ductless mini split system since I don't have an attic and very limited crawl space. The technicians were professional and did a great job setting me up. Lastly, it was a seamless experience and will be recommending Cloud comfort to friends and family. Thank you. ."

"I had 4 estimates.  The first vendor said he would be unable to test for leaks and said he would install new system and gave us a one line estimate.

The second vendor said he could fill with freeon for $800 with no warranty or put in new system for $15k with no itemization,  He only attached a pressure gauge to outside line and was going to charge my very elderly Mom $105.  When I called owner and said that no diagnosis was made and this is ludicrous, he dropped the charge.

The third vendor spent well over an hour explaining why his company is great and then said the charge would be approximately $9,500.

the fourth vendor was Mick Sinclair and what a completely different experience. I first called and spoke to Nick, his son.  I told him I did not know what to do.  Although both Nick and his Dad were booked solid he said he would get back to me.  Mick called and scheduled an appointment. He measured the pressure and tried to fix the valve. He then actually removed the outer shell of the condensor and noted that the motor was not working at all.  He tried to fix the motor and added a booster to no avail.  He refused to charge anything for the diagnostic and attempted repair - nothing!

Note, that not one of the other three vendors checked the motor.

Mick then said he would email a quote which he did in a very timely manner. His wife sent the email and I spoke to her and she was as nice as Mick and their son, Nick.

Mick spent 1-1/2 days performing the complete installation, including sealing asbestos and many other things.

There are literally no words to explain the excellent service we received from Mick. He is also very kind.

My 92 year old Mom and I are grateful for you.  You are truly a professional.

Thank you!

"The service was exceptional. We had one air Conditioning unit repired and purchaed a new one for our office building. The owner was on time, for his intial inspection he personally inspected the units on the office building roof. Communication was a key factor. One unit was repaired the following day, the new unit was installed in less then 5 days. The cost was reasonable, and it was evident that we were dealing with professionals"

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Bellflower, CA

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
