"Did all work as expected. Very responsive and everything went better than expected. Left my house cleaner than when the job started. No surprise fees. Pricing matched quote which was lucky for me. He convinced me to upgrade pressure tank during jet pump well conversion to submersible. My tank was actually really bad. Overall very happy. I am already recommending to friends and family. My photos are too large to upload. Home advisor. Allow larger pictures to be attached. "

"This is the second time I have had Quinn do work for me and I couldn't be more please with Tom or the work he did. When I put in the quote request he contacted me within seconds and was at my house within an hour to prep the old water heater for removal. The next morning he came right on time with the new water heater and had it up and running in short order. The quote for the job was fair even though he had to leave to get some materials to replace what was there. I'll definitely use Quinn again. If you have plumbing issues, give Tom a call. You won't be sorry."

"Matt called soon after I posted my Well Pump project. Scheduled me that day and sent Brian and Ed out that morning before noon. They inspected the system and diagnosed the problem. They replaced a bad pressure switch to get the water back on and suggested replacing my old pressure tank to extend the pumps life. Excellant work and highly recommend them."

It was stressful - the water was coming up fast and they dealt with it quickly. The lead technician was professional and courteous."

FAQs for well pump installation and replacement projects in Cheshire, CT

Signs that your well pressure tank requires replacement include inconsistent water pressure, your pump turning on and off frequently (known as short cycling), visible leaks around the tank, or unusual noises from your well system. Physical damage, corrosion, or a tank that's reached its seven to 10-year expected lifespan may also indicate it's time for replacement. When multiple issues arise simultaneously, replacement often proves more economical than attempting repairs.

The timeframe for professional well pressure tank replacement varies depending on your specific system and any complications that might arise during installation. Factors that can affect installation time include accessibility of your current tank, whether additional components need replacement, and the complexity of your well system. For precise timing expectations, consult with the professional handling your installation.

Attempting to replace your well pressure tank involves several potential risks, including improper pressure calibration that could damage your pump, contamination of your water supply, and physical injury from handling heavy equipment. Additionally, incorrect installation might lead to water leaks, property damage, or system inefficiency. Many manufacturers also specify that professional installation is required to maintain warranty coverage, making the $125 to $200 professional installation fee a worthwhile investment for most homeowners.
