"The biggest obstacle was scheduling.  The Angie's List confirmation email did not include the instruction to schedule on the Flow-Rite web site.  It took 3 or 4 emails to clarify that which delayed getting the work scheduled. 
The replacement parts worked fine with the exception of some excess plastic on the valve which prevented a tight seal and thus lead to a running toilet.  It took a few minutes with the razor blade to cut the excess off and allowed the seal to form properly.  This probably should have been done by the installer.

"We were very impressed with this company. We discovered a significant leak in the roof after a tenant complained of leaking. We wanted the job completed quickly to avoid further damage to the ceilings and walls. We contacted more than a dozen companies and Gerry was the only one to respond to our call within 3 days. He came to the house the day we called and gave a written estimate along with an expected schedule. Compared to other estimates we received, he was very competitive and he was much more courteous and professional. Once we signed the contract, he scheduled the job. He had to schedule the job more than a month away, but he kept us well-informed during that month and made sure everything was ready to go. The job was started as scheduled. The crew worked hard and were very easy to work with. They cleaned up after every day and kept us informed on the progress. The project was scheduled to be completed in 3 days, but wasn't finished by the end of the 3rd day. Gerry sent a crew on Saturday to finish up the last few tasks and clean everything up. About a month after the installation, we noticed a leak around one of the plumbing vents. We contacted Gerry and he immediately came out to re-caulk and seal around the vent. We eventually learned that the leak around the vent was not related to the roof job, but we were very impressed by Gerry's responsiveness to the situation. We would definitely use him again."

"Kirk arrived and listened carefully to our problem and what had been done to date.  He diagnosed the possible problems, and thought that he could fix the unit rather than replacing it.  We had proposals to fully change out our system:  not one heating and cooling company was interested in working on the unit to repair it.  Kirk analyzed the potential problems and systematically tested the outside unit thoroughly.  We repaired the unit, vs. replacing it, and saved us thousands of dollars.  He is a pleasure to work with, and I will recommend his company to everyone I meet.  Honorable, hard working and trustworthy.  Most highly recommended!!

"We got estimates from 3 providers, and went with Comfort Solutions because their offer was good, and they were also someone we had been dealing with for years. They installed a Lennox furnace (EL296UHV-090) and Lennox Central Air unit (XC14-036) with associated coil along with all associated work (ductwork, remounting humidifier, installing new thermostat, and removal of old units) as scheduled without any problems. The two installers were friendly and hard working, spending a long day installing both units. (The only thing they forgot was a winter cover for the AC they said they'd provide, but they promised to bring it out with the Fall maintenance check).
We haven't used the furnace yet this summer other than the initial testing after installation, but the AC has been working just fine. I'm amazed how quiet the new AC unit is; you can carry on a conversation standing beside it while it runs without raising your voice.
Additionally, I'd like to commend Comfort Solutions for letting me know about an energy improvement rebate as a Duke Energy customer. Because of the improved energy efficiency of the new units, they did all the paperwork to apply for the rebate with Duke, and we got a $200 check a couple weeks later. Thanks for the great work!
