It all started with a trip to the Azores of Portugal. RTA's co-founder went there to meet his wife's family… And had his first encounter with an outdoor kitchen. The charm of that kitchen went far beyond providing meals. It served as an inviting gathering space, and offered moments to break bread together.\n\nThe inspiration from that outdoor kitchen was bottled up and shipped back to the US. Unfortunately, there was a lack of accessible options in America in the early 2010's. Someone needed to rethink the conventional approach of construction. Thus began the journey, with a goal of remastering the outdoor kitchen.

"We are really happy with the finished result of our kitchen. The work was well done and looks really nice. I'm happy that we made the change and had the work done. I've also never had a major renovation project done, my experience may have been par for the course than the exception. However, project did take longer than anticipated and didn't start when planned. We did end up making some changes in the plans due to some things what were left up in the air at the time of signing the contract, which did delay some things. My biggest frustration was when we were told that they needed some kind of supply or decision made right away and then we would drop everything we were doing at the time to do what was needed, only to have that thing or decision not end up being used or put into play several days later. The project also required a lot more hands on management to make sure that things were completed and people arrived at the house when they were supposed to. I really like the finished product, but the project did take a lot more of my personal time and energy than anticipated."

Very good price for the extensive job. Contacted the office for deposit to be scheduled. Only negative was they couldn't start immediately. But we are impatient. Amazing finish. Our kitchen is a different kitchen. Outstanding quality. We had our cabinets, countertops, tile, paint and appliances remodeled. Also replaced kitchen windows that were broken and flooring thoughout home. Awesome Alterations Group LLC has us as customers for life. We will recommend this company for everyone."

"Juan (owner of Men in Black Hardscapes) is kind, honest, and incredibly reliable. He is a master craftsmen in a variety of disciplines pertaining to landscaping, hardscapes, masonry among others. His team built two 30' retaining walls for an in-ground pool/spa project we had going on. We were so impressed with his work that we hired him to build an outdoor fireplace, install travertine pavers under our deck, grout the pavers the pool company laid, build a new staircase with backlit treads leading down to the pool, install dry-wells and drainage. Juan was patient with us because we are very particular and made sure that we were 100% satisfied with everything. He is also bi-lingual which made communication clear and easy. Men in Black Hardscapes is the only company I'll use for any future outdoor home projects."
