"Fernando evaluated a stone facade on my Colonial Beach, VA townhouse that had come loose due to poor builder construction. He matched the stone perfectly and repaired the original work to like new condition. He was responsive, timely, cost-competitive, and most importantly did grade A work. "Wonderful! Cornelio was great to work with. He and his team were very professional and I feel like I was given their time and attention. Cornelio was always very responsive and helpful in decisions that we had to make. We moved out for the renovation and were out of town for part of it and he often sent me pictures in the evenings so I could see the progress. We have lived in our home for 7.5 years so we had a good feeling for what we needed. We hired an architect and a designer separately and that was helpful as we went in prepared with what we wanted done. Cornelio and his team took out a wall and a half bathroom and removed most of the plaster (we live in a 1930's row house in Washington, DC). He also built us a new half bathroom and rebuilt walls and doors that needed to be done. When he took out the plaster and such he found old pipes and wires that needed replacing and took care of it. He didn't ask for more money it was included in the work. One thing that really impressed me is we decided to keep our old cabinets and have them painted (by a separate company). When his guys took them off the wall they were damaged (not because of the guys negligence, they had been cement glued to the walls instead of screwed into the walls as they should have been. Cornelio made sure they were repaired and installed in a much better and safer way and you can't tell at all! We love our new kitchen and half bathroom so much! It makes our house much more comfortable and usable for our family!"

"The price was great, but the workmanship was not all that good. This company seems to specialize in chimney work, and they are probably OK for that because you can't really see most chimneys up close so sloppy mortar joints aren't really visible.  Patching a large hole in existing brick is a bit of an art, though, and their mason did not really have the skills to do this properly.
The man who did the estimate was thorough and helpful, and although he was late, he called to let me know.  He promised to email me a written quote in a couple of days.  When the quote did not arrive, I tried emailing him and got no answer. After several days of this, I called the company and was told that their computer was down, but that Oscar (the owner) would come by my houses the next day and bring the written quote.
Oscar arrived as promised, and said he was able to do the work that same day, so I let him. He and one other mason completed the tasks.
He reset some loose stones in a flagstone sidewalk and filled in missing mortar. That work looked OK, though not great, as the mortar didn't really match the existing. The flagstones were irregular in shape, so the mortar joints didn't have to be perfect. I also had him brick in a hole that was left when we removed a heat/air conditioning unit that was built into the wall when a room was added onto the house.  While the color of the brick was a good match, the bricks were not laid exactly straight, and the mortar joints were not tooled to match the surrounding joints, so the patch looks sloppy. There was also a lot of excess mortar on the bricks, which left a white haze.
I complained to Oscar that I was not happy with the brick work. He agreed to come out and clean the bricks, which he did, but he would not do anything about the crooked bricks.

"I had used Glenn many years ago for some masonry repairs and called him again for this project as I lost his number but I was elated to find his information on Angie's list. He came over very promptly after calling him and gave me written estimate detailing all the work to be performed. My front and back stoops and walk way renovation was a project I had put off for a long time, mostly from the dread of finding a quality mason contractor to do the job since I lost his number from before. Glenn kept me in the loop for the entire project and asked for my input along the way. They cleaned up the area around where the work was performed. Glenn was prompt and always called me every morning to tell me when to expect him, he was knowledgeable, personable and professional and I could go on and on! He and his crew finished the premium flagstone stoops and walkway exactly as designed ahead of the time he told me and strives for customer satisfaction as evidenced with his qualuty work. I can't think of any way this job could have been completed in a more professional manner or with a better company. Should I have need of a masonry contractor in the future, I will definitely call J & G Masonry as I was so very happy with the work performed. I'm already thinking about the next project that I can call Glenn about doing - possibly an outdoor brick oven. I miss seeing him come to my house every day. You won't be disappointed!"

They brought seven guys whom all worked well together in forming, pouring, and finishing the concrete.  The entire process was done effectively and with diligence.  My experience with Blue World was great and plan on using them in the future."

"My experience with Earth Friendly Service was a positive one. My husband and I recently purchased a house that needed some TLC. I reached out to EFS and then responded immediately. Within a few days Steve and Phil were out at my house to see what repairs were needed and to give an estimate. They were pleasant and knowledgeable. I received a couple other quotes but EFS was most reasonable as far as a balance of price and timeline for completion. We set a date to start and when they began the work, it was completed within a week. Steph was great. Detail oriented. Asked questions of my desires when there was uncertainty. Wayne, let his work speak for itself. Phil went above and beyond doing other minor repairs that he noticed as he went along and giving tips to us as new home owners. Steve dropped by to make sure things were running smoothly and on schedule.
