"Dillon was a great guy and worked fast and efficient. My house is 50 plus years old and the duct work had never been cleaned. Post the work, the house even smelled better. I am in the middle of a complete remodel and living in the house. I had all 11 vent grilles removed -(saved Dillon a pile of time not having to remove and re-install) and I would have thought a discount would have been in order."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"Customer service was awesome! We contacted them very late at night for an emergency (no heat!) HVAC service as they advertised 24 hour service. We were informed by Brian's wife that was seriously ill and could not make it out to my mothers home immediately. We made arrangements for my mother to stay at our home that evening. We called some other 24 service companies and did not even get our call answered. Mount Vernon called back the first thing the next morning, and Brian, still "under the weather", came out and did the necessary HVAC system repairs. Where I work, customer service is key. I found Brian and his wife to be both cordial, polite and extremely accommodating to our needs. Mount Vernon Heating and Cooling is now our "first call" for any HVAC related needs!"
