"I highly recommend you go with Horne for all your HVAC and hot water heater needs. (Now the details) The great people at Horne replaced most of the duct work in my 60 year old home (2500 sq. ft.) and replaced a 20+ year old gas furnace and AC unit. They also replaced a 20 year old hot water heater with a high-end tankless water heater, even mounting it to a concrete wall. This was a big project and the team at Horne was fantastic through the entire process. Marlon who quoted the job was very knowledgeable about my options and pricing, and was available afterwards to answer all our questions before we decided on Horne. All the technicians were very detailed oriented, highly skilled, and a pleasure to have around my house. Jason was the site manager and his expert knowledge was critical given the complexity of replacing duct work in a 60 year old home, as well as, custom installing a high capacity tankless water heater. Big shout out to Nicholas, Jamal, and Jose who were in our house day in and day out. They were fantastic! Given the complexity and work needed, Richard and Brant also stopped by to lend a hand and provide their own special skills to the job. All of them were knowledge, hard-working, and very friendly. Finally, Dee in the office was great with scheduling, assisting with billing, and follow-up. I would highly recommend Horne to anyone looking for HVAC or hot water heater service or replacement. "Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"The owner Mike was able to come into our house and diagnose a complex environment problem that was causing our heater to run continuously.  (This problem was not solved by several other HVAC contractors)  During Mike's analysis, he performed the standard maintenance routines to validate the HVAC unit was operating properly.  From there, he looked into what other conditions existed into the house that were causing the unit to not sufficiently heat the house.  After a thorough analysis, he was able to then install the home air quality devices onto our existing HVAC unit to dramatically improve our indoor air quality.  With these additional components, we have been able to control our indoor humidity and provide fresh air ventilation automatically.  All of this was set up on an internet capable control module so we can control the entire system from a smartphone.  As a result, the HVAC does not run continuously to heat the house, and now operates very efficiently.

 Mike has been incredibly responsive in the time that we have worked with him.  He has responded to calls, email, and texts very quickly.  His initial service call was on a Sunday afternoon and we have also completed a facetime conversation as part of the diagnosis.  After the initial installation, we had an issue with the equipment itself.  Mike quickly responded, worked with his supplier, and they resolved the issues through the product warranty in the matter of a day. Through the entire process, he has taken a lot of time to completely explain to me what was happening and provided detailed recommendations.  His level of customer service, responsiveness, and communication has been outstanding.

"They were excellent and we were very happy with them. It was negotiated with the sellers and so we didn’t pay for it but I remember going through the bidding process and they were absolutely fair. It was a real great price. We had the home re-inspected after and the inspectors had actually taken pictures of it since it looks perfect. We were really pleased. They were in and out. We actually had a problem since one of the pipes while they were re-inspecting the cellar was restricting a little bit and they came out the next day or so and got everything sorted out. So, even after the fact, they were totally responsive. They were great. The price was very fair. It wasn’t the cheapest but it also wasn’t the most expensive. We had a very tight timeline and they came in and knocked it out. They cleaned everything up. They were prompt and did everything they were supposed to."

"We originally visited Empire to quote out carpet replacement for our home. Ultimately, we replaced our downstairs carpet (livingroom/den) and pergo laminate flooring (foyer, hallway, dining room) with hardwood flooring and replaced all upstairs carpet including the stairway. I honestly couldn't be more pleased. We don't have a big house (probably 1000 square feet per level), but I was impressed with how quick both the hardwoods and carpeting was installed. Small things realy stand out - like the fact that not one piece of quarter-round was missed - even if it was only 1 inch long - that make this the best money I could have spent. The did this job somewhat under scheduling duress (week or so before Christmas) and they were working around painters/carpenters who were here at the same time. They even went out of their way prior to the job as I had ordered the wrong color carpet and flooring and they drove from South Charlotte to Concord to review my selections with my wife (which is good since I'm color blind). A few months have passed and short of some minor dents in the floor from our 3 year old that likes to throw his matchbox cars down the stairs, the floor looks as good as when it was put in Couldn't have been more impressed"
