"Brad knows his products and is very passionate about them. He believes in the items that he sells, and for good reason. We bought several items from him and have been nothing but happy with them. Our vintage home smells SO FRESH! We'd had mold years earlier and had to go through remediation. I developed mold-induced asthma, which was having a very negative impact on my quality of life. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs in the house, which creates a LOT of dust. Even though we vacuum dauly and shampoo the carpets every month, the fur is ever-present. Additionally, we have chickens that live outside, but our smaller breeds have to come into our mud room during the winter. Birds are very dusty! I am also an opera singer, but my asthma had gotten so bad that I was actually getting dizzy while trying to practice! These air scrubbers make a noticeably IMMEDIATE difference and are so easy to maintain! They're quiet too. I can breathe again with NO INHALERS OR MEDS!"

"Mike came to do air quality test. Very professional! He explained the process and educated us on the different types of mold. What really impressed us was that he took the time to sit down and explain the results with us and had a solution ready!"

"I donâ t often give reviews but Jimmy earned it. We hired him to investigate potential moisture/mold in our home after a couple of long withstanding leaks from previous tenants. He showed up early and was friendly and easy to talk to. He displayed great knowledge about home construction, mold causes and treatments, and talked me through the entire process he uses for inspections. He utilized an array of equipment and was incredibly thorough in his assessment. The entire time he was here, he answered every question my wife and I had and was absolute pleasure to work with. Not to sound negative, but it is truly hard to find someone who knows what theyâ re doing and Jimmy is one of those rare people you can count on. I really canâ t recommend him enough. If you want a thorough and honest inspection performed, you can stop looking because you found your guy."

FAQs for indoor air quality testing projects in Durham, NC

You should test your home's air quality if you or your family experience health problems like allergies or respiratory issues, as these could be linked to indoor contaminants. Also, consider testing if you're concerned about mold, radon, carbon monoxide, or if you've recently had home construction, demolition, excavation, or remodeling that could have released chemicals into your indoor air.

An indoor air quality test typically takes one to three hours to complete. After the inspection, you'll receive a detailed written report within two to 10 days. The evaluation includes comprehensive air sampling from all designated areas in your home. Your specialist will review the findings with you and provide clear guidance on steps to take if any issues are found, helping ensure your indoor environment meets health and safety standards.

A certified indoor air quality consultant or inspector is the right professional to perform your indoor air test. While some home inspectors have certifications, they often subcontract this specialized work to trained professionals with advanced tools. This expert will thoroughly evaluate air samples from every area in your home and clearly explain the findings to you. Be sure to confirm your tester's credentials before scheduling your service.
