"Of all the HVAC companies I contacted, these guys had the best rates to come out and diagnose why my A/C was blowing hot air. Will came out and was very thorough and professional in diagnosing the issue and got me up and running in the same visit! He had great communication leading up to the meeting, and also spent a good amount of time talking to me about what was going on with my HVAC and giving advice. Very honest, knowledgeable, and didn't try to pressure upcharge me on anything but did offer additional services. I will definitely be hiring Will again for any other work and when it's time to replace my 14-year old HVAC (but hopefully not too soon!)"

"My HVAC air conditioning was not cooling my condo. The technician climbed a ladder to check my outdoor unit on the roof and noticed that the outdoor unit was not coming on. He discovered a loose wire and tightened it to fix the problem. He also checked the unit pressure and found that the charge was a little low. He added two pounds of refrigerant to charge up the system. Finally, he recommended using better filters and changing them more frequently. My HVAC air conditioning is now performing very efficiently. I'm very satisfied with the service received from SM Mechanical."

"I had an absolutely terrible experience with McRae Air Conditioning and Heating. I purchased a home equipped with their HVAC system, and within just five months, the heat stopped working—right in the middle of winter during a snowstorm. My home was freezing at 50°F, so I called for service, which should have been covered under warranty. I scheduled an appointment, and the technician, after being several hours late, went to the wrong address, left a sticker on someone else’s door, and left without even trying to contact me. When I called back, the customer service rep was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. He initially told me the technician was on the way and just 12 miles away—but after another hour of waiting, I called again only to be told that the technician had already “been to my house 2 hours ago” (the wrong one) and left a note. If the rep actually wanted to help, he would have told me this during my first call instead of wasting my time and leaving me sitting in the cold. Not once did the technician call me to confirm the address or check in after knocking on the wrong door. When I expressed my frustration, the rep rudely dismissed my concerns, saying, “Well, I had nothing to do with that,” and then interrupted me with, “Do you still want to rebook or not?” as if I had to stop talking or risk not getting another appointment. This was an emergency call in the middle of winter, and McRae handled it in the most unprofessional, careless, and disappointing way possible. If you’re considering using them for HVAC service, do yourself a favor and go with another company. I’ll update this review after the (hopefully successful) service call and speaking to the manager who was not there at 4 pm on a Wednesday."

"Rob was great from the estimate visit, to estimate delivery, and in coordinating the installation appointment (had to sub-contract in a roofer). On the day of service, Rob and Austin arrived on time (as did the roofers) and made quick work of the installation. It seems a rarity to find truly knowledgeable and friendly contractors that are both prompt and excellent communicators. This experience shined on all fronts. Will definitely be using Tim Kyle again. "Horrible company, horrible service, still waiting after 14 days for an update. Claimed they ordered part, then found out they didn’t order the part, then they schedule an appointment and didn’t show up. Dispatch was rude and they didn’t return calls and messages. Same company misdiagnosed my mom’s HVAC system and she ended up getting it replaced only to find it still kept shutting off because it was a gas regulator that was the problem all along."
