"I have had 2 different types of service calls from Andys Statewide for installation and maintenance of my furnace. They are prompt, fair and thorough. I have had a nightmare experience with Great Dane and will never use them again. Andyâ s is the only one I will call upon, they actually repair your equipment as opposed to selling you (by miss leading you) like the aforementioned company did to me. Mario was outstanding and very knowledgeable and professional."

"In a cold November 2014 we had flood and it took out our furnace. I was familiar with Kelly Brothers from listening to The Inside Outside Guys. I called and spoke to Mr Kelly directly. He was very kind and said they would be out that day since it was cold and we needed heat. They came out put in our furnace and charged us the lower price of what Mr Kelly said it could be. We were so happy and warm and our gas bills are so much lower then they use to be. I would recommend Kelly Brothers to anyone and have. This past October we called to have our furnace checked and cleaned. Nick came out, he was very helpful answered my questions. just very greatful for this company."

"Excellent customer service from the first time Joe contacted me to the time Mike and his crew came to install new furnace and a/c units. One Hour Heating and Cooling was very affordable and was the only company I had to come out to give an estimate to identify an hazard with a pipe leading to the drain and the resolved it. Thanks to Joe and Mike educating me on the furnace and a/c units, they answered every question or concerns I had. I had 3 other companies to come out and was trying to replace items that didn't even need to be replaced. They were trying to justify their enormous prices and because of One Hour Heating and Cooling I didn't fall for it. I would truly recommend this company to anyone who is in the market for heating and cooling services. One Hour Heating and Cooling is truly about their customer's need and provide the best value."

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Farmington Hills, MI

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
