He discovered some build up (he didn't call it mold because he doesn't have training in identifying mold but I'm referring to it as mold) on the coils, which he cleaned. He showed me the "mold" inside the coil cabinet and provided options and literature for a UV light resolution without pressure to make an immediate decision. His inspection discovered the system was 2 lbs low on refrigerant. He filled it and noted the level for comparison during the next inspection. Since the ac system was poorly installed several years ago by a different HVAC firm, there's a question if there's a leak or the system wasn't completely filled when installed. I chose Holtzople last fall to replace my 24 year old oil furnace because I wanted a small, local, dependable company for HVAC services.
