"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"To start the saga, we had several companies come out and provide quotes on replacing our aging A/C unit.  Our original unit was a 2.5 ton unit installed in 1993 when the house was built.  Although it was still running alright, it was starting to show signs of aging.  When I contacted Waylon, at H&W Heating and Air, he was prompt with a response and came out the same week to take a look at the house and provide an estimate.  Of the three quotes I obtained, I felt like H&W not only provided the best cost option, but also provided the "no BS" solution to my cooling needs.  After taking time to review the quotes and research the equipment, I felt like H&W exactly matched my needs, gave me a fair price and did not try to oversell me.  In-fact, one of my requests to add new ducting/ a new vent was turned down by Waylon (Note: this was recommended by one of the other quotes) because he believed the new unit will do a better job than the old unit at cooling a trouble spot in my house (Saved me $$ right there). He said "let's wait and see if this doesn't fix it first".
I would like to add, that I like the way Waylon sends his quotes and most of his communication via e-mail.  That gives me a clear record of what I've asked for and when I had questions, after he left, I was able to have a record of the answers as well.
Based on my decision, I called and scheduled the service for 9/4/2015.  I decided to go with the 3 ton, 14 SEER rated Bryant system.  Waylon told me his team would show up to replace the unit at 0730 and that they should be done  around 11-1130.
Let me tell you, he was there at exactly 0730 and they were finished with replacing the unit and cleaning up by 1100.  He balanced thee airflow in the house and when they left there was hardly a trace they had been there in the first place.
Overall, I am highly satisfied with the work performed and would highly recommend H&W Heating and Air to anyone looking to replace their A/C units.

"Wow. Talk about responsive and professional. My heat pump fan wasn't working and our Boxers were overheating. I called Williams H and C, talked to a professional  assistant  who relayed the message to Billy Williams. I got a call back in 2 minutes. Billy said he'd be there this afternoon ( I called at 2 pm). Within an hour or so he arrived and fixed the problem right away. He also ran multiple other checks on the system to make sure I was all set to go, pointing out a couple concerns I may have in the future (evap coil rusting out). I will definitely be calling him back in the future when it's time to replace the air blower system. Very Fair and Honest.

"The compressor outside had a huge leak, so Don and his sons were kind enough to come fill our freon up 3 times (early morning) to make sure we stayed cool until our new unit was installed. Ordering the unit was easy, they picked up everything the day we ordered it and were diligent in delivery and service. Also gave us all the paperwork needed to apply the new energy efficient unit on our tax return, informing us that it was eligible for a tax rebate of 30% of the total cost (including installation). They were on time, and Worked from 10-3:30 before taking a 20 minute lunch break, then returning to work. We had a few issues with our electrical box, so the 6 hour job turned into an 11 hour job (because our house had some issues that we were unaware of), and they stayed until 9:30pm to make sure everything was working properly (and gave us a brand new electrical box for our AC Unit for free)."

"New installation went well. I was a little upset that only 50% was covered being that the unit was 19 years old. I'm sure that parts for something that old would be hard to find. Replacement was recommended."

FAQs for swamp cooler installation and replacement projects in Freeport, FL

Swamp coolers are quite energy-efficient, using only 15% to 35% of the electricity that traditional central air conditioning units consume. This can lead to significant savings on your energy bills. However, keep in mind that swamp coolers require water to operate and may not cool your home as effectively in extremely hot or humid conditions. When considering overall efficiency, it is essential to weigh both electricity and water usage, as well as the cooling needs specific to your local climate.

Evaporative coolers only work in dry climates because they cool by moistening the air. If the air is already moist, this will have little to no cooling effect. Central AC is a better choice if you live in a humid climate, such as the Midwest, eastern, or western coastal regions.

To install a swamp cooler on a roof, a local HVAC specialist will first find and cut a spot free of wiring and obstructions. They’ll then install metal bracing, legs, brackets, the ceiling duct register, ductwork, power, and thermostat wires. Once installed, they’ll seal all openings, attach duct connections, and install a thermostat. Before leaving, they’ll run cool water piping to the unit and inspect all the connections.

The cost to repair your swamp cooler ranges from $50 to $600, depending on the issue, whether new parts are needed, and the chosen repair service. Depending on the type of pad your system uses, you will need to change out the pads every one to three years for proper operation. When budgeting for the cost to repair a window unit, expect to pay around $230.

The U.S. Department of Energy states that swamp coolers can cool a single room by five to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. However, this largely depends on the size and installation method of the evaporative cooler. You can only achieve these results in a dry climate, such as the American South, as it’s easier to cool rooms in humid environments with central air.

Swamp cooler water usage varies depending on the size of the unit. Smaller evaporative units may use one gallon per hour, while much larger units could use up to 15 gallons of water per hour. Most homeowners can expect their unit to use between seven and 10 gallons of water per hour of usage.
