If you have an old smoke alarm system (10 years old), you have to replace them all, the city inspector will come and check them before they approve the install. If your smoke alarm has a three prong that attaches to the ceiling via wire, you have to get the exact same type of smoke alarm. I did the opposite and causes some delay in the approval process. It was my fault, I bought the non wired battery operated smoke alarm. A+"

Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
