"Very well. Sean is reliable, prompt, courteous, and professional. He has been servicing/inspecting and maintaining my residential equipment for about four years now. He comes a the start of winter and summer to make sure my system is ready for the season. If I experience any unforeseen issues he promptly comes out to repair the problem as soon as it happens. All A/C is an independent business and I prefer to support small business owners when I can. All A/C is big enough too to get the job done and at a much better price."

"<p>We had hired Bob Weatherford who is the owner of  Diamond Heating & Air here in the Sacramento area to install a highly rated Lennox HVAC System in our home.    Bob, also happens to be a licensed General Building Contractor and has an "A" rating on Angie's List..  He did such a good job on our home, I had asked him if he could find some time to install a new HVAC System in our rental in Clovis, CA.   He said that's a little too far from here to do the job.  However, he recommended Donald P Dick Air Conditioning, Inc. to me which also has Angie's "A" rating.</p> <p>I contacted their office and was referred to John Calandri (Estimator).   I was very impressed with John's thoroughness in explaining the type of system we really needed, the SEER rating of the equipment, and pointing out the major reason for the heat loss on the rental unit was due to the fact  that the return was completely disconnected and a 7' supply collar was disconnected and just blowing in the attic.  We just had an HVAC Diagnostic Service done a couple weeks earlier by another A/C Contractor and the duct problem was not pointed out to us.  I believe John was being very honest and professional in explaining the problems we had with the disconnected ducts.  Consequently, we decided to replace the existing HVAC System with John's recommended Rheem 2.5 ton, 14 SEER rooftop unit to make the rental unit more energy efficient.</p> <p>Our tenant is now very happy with the new HVAC System, especially since his PG&E bill has decreased significantly.   We are very happy to recommend others to contact John Calandri with Donald P Dick Air Conditioning, Inc.  </p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Our job was much more difficult then anticipated and they had many challenges. They worked relentlessly to get the job done, as promised. We really appreciate their effort, the way they prepped our home, cleaned up every day and worked as scheduled. It is hard to find people who perform the work as promised, show up on time and communicate everything to the homeowner. This outfit exceeded our expeditions. Highly recommend them!"

"A pleasant experience from start to finish. The quoting process was a good two-way discussion, and cordial - no pushy salesman telling you how bad Company X or Y was. Just honest, factual, and straightforward. They quoted us a system with the panels, racking, and inverter which we wanted, not what they were pushing. The quote wasn't the best (hence the 'B' for price) but it did offer the best VALUE when we considered the equipment specification and the stability of the company - an important consideration when looking at a system with a 25 year life! The installation was scheduled by our coordinator, Sherry, and the team showed up when promised and got the job completed on time. Quality of workmanship was first rate and the entire installation was done with care, and tidied away before the team left. Permitting and PG&E inspection were all handled by Sherry, and that was also quick and flawless. Overall, the system they installed easily meets their projections in terms of performance, and it effectively pays for itself. We really couldn't be more pleased with NRG Clean Power and have recommended them to friends and neighbors. We'd recommend you give them your consideration if your looking for solar power."

"Was informed that the installer would arrive earlier, however instead of showing up at the time They changed it to, the installer showed up at the originally scheduled time. After the installer arrived, it all went as planned. Happy with my new water heater. <br />"

"I had a rodent issue at a home I just purchased. The rodents contaminated the insulation... it was horrid and disgusting actually. The pest control company suggested I find a contractor to replace the insulation. Again, I called Balanced Comfort. I used them at my last house for insulation and was pleased with the work performed. The customer service was polite and professional. I had someone come out the very next day. The man arrived on time and explained the process and provided me an estimate to remove, sanitize my attic space and then replace my insulation. It was also old and not doing the best at keeping my home at a comfortable temperature. I approved the estimate and the project was started a few days later. It has now been about two months and let me say, I sleep better knowing I'm not breathing in toxic rodent waste AND my house is actually keeping a comfortable temp for this Fresno heat!!! PLUS I noticed a drop in my PG&E bill! Hopefully this means my air conditioner won't have to work as hard and will last a little longer because that's gettin old too. Thank you again Balanced Comfort!"

FAQs for home energy audit projects in Fresno, CA

To prepare for a home energy audit, begin by preparing your space. Clear any obstructions around the attic, basement, ducts, crawl space, appliances, windows, and doors. Gather all your energy bills from the last year and information on home upgrades if you’ve made any changes. If you’ve previously had an audit done, include that information as well.

Finally, be prepared to discuss any questions or concerns you have. If you’ve noticed a rise in your energy bills, hot or cold areas in your home, or unusual sounds from ducts or appliances, make a list to discuss with your auditor.

How often you should get an energy audit depends on the age and condition of your home. New homes with no issues are recommended to get an audit every five years, while older homes should audit every two to three years. If you’ve noticed any changes to your energy bills or other areas of concern, you should get an audit as soon as possible. It’s also a good idea to conduct an audit if you’ve made changes or upgrades to your home, such as installing a new furnace, windows, or doors.

An energy audit takes three to four hours to complete. Your auditor sets up testing equipment, conducts an exhaustive walk‑through inspection, and performs all required evaluations to identify energy loss points. The audit follows a systematic review that includes visual assessments, mechanical tests, and detailed documentation, resulting in a precise report of improvement recommendations.

You can schedule a home energy audit any time of the year—it all depends on what's convenient for you. That said, timing it right can help you tackle issues before they impact your comfort and bills. If you live in a colder climate and want to avoid high heating costs in the winter, getting an audit in the summer allows you to make improvements before the temperature drops. On the contrary, if hot summers are your concern, a spring audit can help you stay cool and save on air conditioning.

To find a qualified home energy auditor, start by searching for local energy auditors with great reviews and recognized certifications like those from the Building Performance Institute (BPI). These credentials ensure they're qualified and can help you qualify for rebates. Don't hesitate to ask about their audit methods and schedule a consultation to see if they're a good fit for your needs. Doing some research upfront helps you get top-notch service and maximize your energy efficiency.

Once you have your energy audit report, it's time to take action. Review the recommendations and prioritize the upgrades that make the most sense for your home and budget. Reach out to experienced pros to get quotes and discuss how they can help. By making these improvements, you'll boost your home's energy efficiency, lower your utility bills, and enjoy a more comfortable living space.
