"We called Greg with Element Heating on a Monday morning, and he was able to come out and assess our unit that afternoon. He talked us through our options of repair vs replace and helped answer our questions so we were comfortable with our decision to replace the unit (at 14 years old, we knew it was time). We ultimately talked to 5 different companies (big and small) before making any decisions, and we were most impressed with both Elementâ s customer service, as well as his prices. Greg got us a â betterâ rated unit for the same price we were quoted for a â goodâ unit from others. We also prefer supporting small, local businesses when we can. Greg was able to start work on Wednesday and get our heat back on that afternoon. We hit some snags that set the project back a bit (through no fault of Element), but Greg was very communicative with us every step of the way and let us know what was going on and what to expect. He was thorough and detail oriented throughout the install, taking the time to point things out to us and answer any additional questions as the project went on. He was timely, respectful of our space, and personable - I enjoyed chatting with him throughout the course of the install. We have been extremely happy with the service we received, and absolutely will reach out to Greg in the future. I canâ t recommend Element Heating and Cooling enough!"

"No, Daryl the owner of Aire Serv of mechanicsville dropped the ball !! He and his two unlicensed technicians, left me with both NO A/C and NO FURNACE for a couple of months until I got it repaired by a respectable company. DO NOT Trust the owner (Daryl) of Aire Serv of Mechanicsville with your repair needs or his two unlicensed technicians. Daryl the owner of ASM is dishonest, he will psychologically tell you that his technicians are the greatest things since sliced bread and on earth. Daryl will tell you and make you believe that Thomas is so wonderful and Hunter is the next up and coming perfect technician, and that he himself (Daryl) has so many years of HVAC service. Daryl is a real BS?er. He does everything he needs to do to get you to trust him. I would NEVER trust him or his two wack job technicians in my home again or with any of my repair needs."

Bryan, unlike other folks who gave me an estimate, took time to talk with me, explain everything in detail, and was available as needed throughout the project. He has also been great about promptly providing the names of good companies for other needs I had, i.e. a plumber or someone to check out possible water damage. The crew were prompt, polite, and very patient with my questions throughout the process, as was the office staff. I would not hesitate to hire this company again!"

"EDITED TO ADD: Really impressed by the follow-up by Jennifer of the company, who called me at home and made it clear they wanted to make this situation right. I'm impressed by her customer service and have changed my review stars, as she made it clear that this was an aberration and they wanted to make things right. She offered her personal cell phone to arrange any future service, and that type of attention to remedy an unhappy customer speaks highly of how they do business. Wildly incompetent and a waste of our time to hire them. My husband understands plumbing, but works long hours and was trying to "buy back time" by hiring a professional to finalize a toilet kit repair. We hired Foster based on reviews and they sent out someone who was so weirdly patronizing for also being so incompetent. When my husband explained that there was a new kit installed and it was mostly complete, but there was a small leak that needed finalized tightening, the plumber didn't even get down on the ground to inspect the back of the stool. He just informed us we needed a "major rebuild" and a new toilet. WHAT?!?! I sincerely don't know if he's just poorly trained and didn't understand the problem or whether he was trying to exploit us. It didn't make sense that he didn't understand the problem, especially when someone was telling him explicitly what was needed. He also quoted $299 each for two faucets replaced, which is the HIGH end of average costs. I don't mind paying more for quality work, but someone without a basic understanding of a toilet leak shouldn't be charging high market value for their work. My husband paid for the service call and declined services, and used his lunch break to fix the toilet completely (no new parts nor rebuild necessary) and install faucets. We were quoted $920.34 for 3 tasks that took an accountant less than 1.5 hours to complete, without any formal plumbing training. That's not okay. Beyond that, I'm completely unimpressed with the management. Before posting a negative review, I make sure to go directly to management and see what they'd like to do to fix the frustration. Shawna (sp?) kept saying "I understand what you're saying," but clearly didn't. She kept talking about there being set prices for parts. WE DIDN'T NEED PARTS. She also kept defending how qualified he was, but that makes no logical sense if someone non-certified can have a better and quicker understanding of how to fix the problem. There are too many other reliable, qualified, reasonably priced plumbers out there. I will never do business with this one again. They might have other good plumbers, but our guy was not one of them."
