They worked over three days to pour concrete footings, jack up the floors as best as possible, and then add permanent supports. They also removed an old vapor barrier and installed a new one. Each day, they arrived early and worked through the day. They communicated well and were courteous and professional. Prior to their work, our floors were not even close to level. More importantly, when walking on them, we could feel them "giving" under our weight. Now, our floors feel solid and look level throughout the house. "Dealing with Mark Rownd and the rest of his crew was great. Not a single problem or concern - something I've come to realize is a rarity with construction jobs today.
I had gotten multiple quotes from a lot of other companies, including many of the top rated Angie's List companies, and noted wide price swings, frequent no-shows for quote appointments, and some very substantial inaccuracies provided by them.
Concrete Work's prices weren't the lowest quote I got, but Mark was honest and up-front and I felt that I could trust him and the company. I wasn't wrong as I'm very pleased with the work that was done and hope to have Mark and Concrete Works back again for more planned projects.
To be completely candid - I never met Mark Rownd or had any dealings with Concrete Works before this project, so this is a true unbiased customer review, but I wouldn't consider using anybody else but them for all of my projects.
I wish all of the construction companies were like these guys - I'd have a lot less gray hair!
