"Took a while for my turn on the list but well worth the wait. FYI: A three day job can turn into a four or five day job once you start looking around the house and see all the other things he can take care of "since he's there!" Great service and well worth the wait and sorry to the person on the list after me as I looked around my house and starting adding to what I needed done!"

"My family has used ETL Construction for a variety of projects, most recently to inspect and make improvements to our home prior to sale. Honesty and integrity are rare these days in the contracting realm, and the team at ETL is built on a foundation of trust and respect. They are true project managers and keep track of every step of the process to ensure they stay on time and in budget. They met with us to tour every inch of our property, listened to our concerns, and made recommendations to us. They completely replaced our front steps that had deteriorated, completely rebuilt a deck that was not originally built up to par, assisted with drywall repair, electrical work. plumbing, and even landscaping. From the top, down, every single member of this expert team of professionals works hard to ensure that everything exceeds exceptions. Additionally, their team has design and decorating expertise and assisted us with matching paint colors, choosing stains, and choosing finishes for fixtures that required replacing. I can't say enough about this family-owned business. If you choose to work with ETL, and I highly recommend that you do, you will soon be a friend of the family, too!"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"I called for an inspection and a chimney sweep, and got an estimate from a professional young lady. She, in fact, closed the deal for me on this company as I had called several others in the area and had gotten just so-so service. The actual service man arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Upon inspecting the chimney, he said we didn't need that cleaned at all--kind of refreshing since I wouldn't have known myself if the chimney was "needy" or not. He then noted that we did not have a cap, and gave us a very good price for installing one on the spot. He also included the inspection in the cost. He was clear to say that it was unlikely we would have the leak again, which happened at the very height of a lengthy driving rain storm. The cap, he explained, would take that one element out of it since the rain was coming straight down the chimney and leaking through the brick and mortar. He completed the work in about an hour and was quite professional and nice. We hope never to need them again, but we will certainly recommend them to our friends and neighbors."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Greensboro, GA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
