"This is a difficult one to write because, in the end, I think the actual work done was completed very well and professionally. We had a tankless water heater installed to replace our aging tank. The problem i have is with their business practices and lack of effective/accurate communication. A two-day job stretched to a week+ due to workers leaving early every day for one reason or another. Admittedly, one of the days was understandable due to a family emergency and I absolutely cannot begrudge somebody leaving early to attend to their child. That’s just being a good dad. The job completed on a Friday and I was repeatedly assured that an county inspector & Pure Plumbing employee would be arrive early Tuesday (Monday was Memorial Day) to close the job. Nobody ever showed up and I was told nothing. I came to learn that Pure Plumbing plays some shady games when it comes to permitting a project. They (illegally) do the work without pulling permits. Then, after it is done, they submit drawings of the completed work to get an after-the-fact permit pulled. It’s only then that they request an inspection which happens a couple weeks after the fact. They also expect full payment before the work passes inspection. I tried to contact the owner of the company (Andrew Aranda) via phone and the email his office supplied in order to discuss/resolve the issue, but never heard a reply. Unpermitted work exposes the company and the homeowner to potential fines and long delays in completion. Even though I love the work they did and would love to use them again, I would hesitate because of legally questionable methods that cast a shady layer over the operation. Are there other hidden corners being cut? Their talented roster of tradesmen/women isn’t worth doing business with because legal games are being played with the county. I plan on contacting a Clark County agent to discuss this job and warn them of potential future dishonesty."

Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. "Was very surprised when he was able to make out the same day. It was Very hot summer day I know he was tired and at about 8pm he still came to repair the compressor on my fridge not leaving till around 10:00pm. The price was reasonable and fair without the gouging. The Work was solid and I have had no issues since. Speaking with him during the visit I learned that he was a service tech for Sears for years before starting his own business and more than likely one of the techs Sears would have sent in my area. "Rudy has been our go-to handyman for about 2 years now, since we found him on Angie's List.  He gives you a fair price, he's honest, always does a great job, and he doesn't dilly-dally or waste any time. I like that attitude that he's like me, efficient and very professional, although it does seem that he's always in a rush and can sound like he's curt sometimes.  But we don't stress about it because we know that it's just his accent and the way he speaks, and he is actually nice and funny.
On this job, he came over as we explained to him what we wanted to be done, and so that he can also give his estimate and explanation on how the job will be done.  We still consulted with other providers just to make sure that we are still getting a good price, and were happy to find out that although he wasn't the lowest bid, it was still a fair price, and with Rudy we can make sure that the job is done right the first time.  We've dealt with bad service providers before, and we don't want to deal with those nightmares anymore.
We were able to schedule the job within a week after the estimate, and he was there on time with his partner.  They used electric sanders, ladders, and plastic to protect other parts of the house including the ground from the dust and paint.  They also used top-quality paint from Frazee.  They even repaired some of my fascia that already had cracks on them, and I thought that I had to totally replace them.
Rudy did a lot of the job himself, while closely supervising and inspecting the work of his partner.  He cares about the quality of their work so he makes sure that it's done right. They also cleaned up after themselves as usual.
He also gave us advice on how to maintain or repair some more things in the house, and advice on which ones are worth repairing or if we are better off replacing them altogether.  Rudy is a top-notch handyman, and we will keep relying on him for multiple things that need repairing or customizing.  We highly recommend him for quality, price, professionalism and reliability!
